I've gotten lots of answers on this forum without having to ask a question, but I've looked on back a few pages and haven't seen this topic. I have a 1999 23' Larson with less than 500hrs on it, love it, but the paint is starting to fade. Tried the buff/polish thing, didn't work. So the question: is there anyone in the area that paints fiberglas boats? Has anyone had it done? And would you recommend doing it, or just live with the faded brown and tan look? Thanks in advance.

Yep....you can have it painted, and if the right person does it, it will look as good as new.

I have seen Boat paint work done by Mooneys Paint and Body in Millbrook that looked great. They even do some gel-coat work. You can call Scott Mooney at 334.285.6434.

We can help you out also. Yes you can paint a boat, But you should always (paint) it in the same color the gelcoat was . The reason is, if you change it and you scratch it, the original Gel coat will show the scratch more prominently.
