So, GF do you agree that the union members DESERVE to have their Cadillac health insurance plans not taxed until a full FIVE years after non-union folks start getting theirs taxed? If so, why?
I can't wait for the rationale to support another blatant attempt at vote getting on the part of the (no names called) Democrats to pass legislation that the majority of the American populace doesn't want.

Hodgie, sorry to disappoint you but I agree with you on this one. The element of favortism is patently unfair. One argument is that some unions have given up salary increases for broader health benefits which does have some validity. By delaying it to 2018, the unions will be able to negotiate new contracts with higher hourly rates rather than broader benefits.
There is discussion of extending the medicare tax to include unearned income. I assume this will include retirees and I would expect AARP to fight it.
