What a beautiful day! We decided to test the tribal knowledge that cats don't bite until the water temp hits 70 and all feeding stops around 50 degeees. The water has not been warming up much in the last few weeks and was just 52 degrees at the surface when we left the dock. We put out jugs and waited. And waited. And waited. We finally boated a 3 pound channel cat at 8:30 and picked up a couple more nice ones in the next hour. We added two fair size spots after that, but by 10:00, it was all over and spent the next couple of hours just cruising. Best part is that there are 10 cold water filets waiting to meet hot grease.
