Recieved a letter form Parker Creek Water Company that they were non-compliant with water quality monitoring for most of the summer.  We did expierience an initial brown coloring in the water upon the initial use during this time and was wondering if anyone else had a similar situation.

I guess they are too busy  monitoring their  fire hydrants for someone changing their colors.

I think we should demand a refund for the months they are not in compliance.

No, we didn't see any discoloration or smell or anything out of the ordinary.  Not sure what is up with the compliance testing - haven't gotten my letter yet; but I seem to recall that once before we got a letter and the water had not be tested for a month or so.   Doesn't seem to have kept the bill from going up.

Yours too?  I wonder now if I had invested that three grand ante on a well we might be better off.  I have noted a musty smell and taste on occasion but believe the water had been in the pipe too long, because after some usage it cleared up.

Still think if he can't guarantee us water that won't make us sick he should give us a refund for those months he is not in compliance.

I wonder if there are not fines associated with failure to test the water. Could be the reason for increase...

The problem is with Alabama Dept. Environmental Mgt. They are supposed to regulate all water authorities in the state.  They allow

small  water authorities to operate without any reinvestment into infrastructure.

This is basically brand new infrastructure..aka Pipes, tank,meters... And they have obviously been forced to notify their users that they have failed compliance standards,, so some gov agency is at work.

No excuse for bad water,, if that is the problem.

What specifically is the problem reported?? Anybody know??
