2 weeks ago it was Alabama vs Ohio Stae for the the BCS Championship. Now, I hope they still play each other in the post season for 3rd and 4th place.

Looks like Florida State and Auburn for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and Alabama and Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl. Missouri put up a good fight but Auburn has amassed an unbelievable climb since going 0 for 8 against conference foes last year. You have to give Malzahn credit; he looks to be a force to be reckoned with.

Whatever happened to defense? And that's not just Auburn, it applies to a lot of college teams. It almost seems like whoever has the ball last wins. I guess I am a Luddite and loves great defense and the game is oriented toward offense and high scores. Anyway, FSU-Auburn will be a great BCS bowl game and Alabama-OSU will be a great game to watch as well.

I understand what you are saying about defense.....but...did you know Auburn shut out 7 of their opponents in the 4th quarter this year?

I doubt that he will make any changes to Daylight Saban Time...you know the time when you set your clocks back one second. :-)

And I was simply going to make a reference to saban walking on water. You have to wonder about any fan that would make that comment when their fans have made such a reference comparing their coach to a deity. I would bet their are some fans calling for Saban to be fired over one loss. It was pretty sickening to see him at the press conference after the game blaming the team and not his bone headed decision to attempt the kick. He said he told them to "fan out" after the kick and they didn't do it. Sorry excuse for a coach to blame the team instead of accepting blame for a bad call.

If you read his statement that "whoever has the ball last wins" and see my response about Auburn's 4th quarter defense you might understand what I meant.

Nobody hatin' here but bamaalum. He started with the snarky comment about Malzone. I simply pointed out the hypocrisy of such a comment considering that some Nama fans have deitized two coaches now.
As for his comment placing blame on the team, yes I heard the whole press conference but I personally think it is in bad taste to EVER blame your team, even if you make a contradictory statement later. Not taking anything away from the team. They had a great season and two national champs in a row. How many times has that been done?
Bottom line, I would have let bamalums comment go without response had it not been for AU67's great response. Had Saban let it go to overtime I think Bama would have won the game. It was also brilliant to have Davis back to run it back. Malzone admitted he was against it and had to be talked into it. He wanted everyone up front to play against the fake. Just goes to show that coaching is a team effort also. I guess both of sabans teams failed him Saturday.
