"President Trump on Wednesday said he would not label China a currency manipulator, contradicting one of the biggest economic promises he made on the campaign trail."

Read Art of the Deal and look at the recent comments from China on the North Korean situation. Just making deals baby.......also, looks like the repeal and replacement of Obamacare is back on the docket. MAGA.

Would you like for him to brand China a currency manipulator and have the dictator in diapers start making crispy critters out of the Japanese and his brothers and sisters south of the 88th parallel? China has something we need: the ability to peacefully reign in the baby tyrant. What we give up is the moral satisfaction of calling a spade a spade. Problem is pontificating about it won't change China's monetary policies. (Edited because the original first sentence was improperly stated).

Seems to me Mara-a-Largo was a YUGE WIN! Trump won bigly. The Chinese seem willing to help with the junior gargoyle in exchange for backing off the currency issue. The Chinese people are in love with the first daughter Ivanka and almost worship her. The timing was perfect to have them here and POTUS to be able to tel the Chinese face to face that while we eat I am bombing Assads air base. Your limp wristed wimpy girly man is in hiding somewhere because he knows a real man is in charge now and doing the job he was to big a pansy to do.

Trump would hardly be the first presidential candidate to find they have to modify their positions when they are finally in office. Nothing is ever as easy as it looks from 100 yards. I actually feel better having a President that is willing to change positions when confronted with reality, rather than a President who hangs on doggedly to what he believed was true.
I think Trump has a strategy to his thinking. He is using situations for our benefit. You don't make good deals implusively; you bide your time, you let others make concessions first. You take an extreme position initially and then move as the others make concessions. It's called negotiating. And right now, despite what the media would have you believe, it's working.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal and at a press conference on Wednesday, President Trump declared that China is not a currency manipulator, entertained the possibility of re-appointing Janet Yellen as chair of the Federal Reserve, asserted that NATO is a relevant alliance and expressed a favorable view of the Export-Import Bank.
PLUS.....changes on Russia, Assad, Mexico, and Trumpcare. Conservatives like to tell the world that they have convictions and they are true to their word. Just another lie....Trump is a Democrat from New York....He is so far over his head....

GF, have to somewhat agree with you...Democrats are well in over their heads and most are feeble swimmers. Trump is not a Democrat...he's just your worst nightmare.

Who ever said Trump was a conservative? I think you need to go back and look at the posts from the campaign. I often stated that he is not a conservative and is not ideological. In fact, I often stated that those who were really supportive of him would likely be disappointed and those opposed likely pleased at times with him. His lack of ideology was my greatest concern about him but when you compared the unknown with Trump and what a disaster we knew for sure Hillary would be it was a pretty easy decision.
Either way, you still don't get it and for some strange, totally irrational reason you somehow expect him to act like a typical politician. He is a deal maker and negotiator and is running circles around the leftists. And we now have Gorsuch on SCOTUS, Kennedy may retire and give him another opportunity to put another originalist on the court and Ruth Buzzie Ginsburg is long in the tooth and may open another seat for him to fill from his list. That would put SCOTUS into majority originalist balance with Roberts fliiping and flopping around.

Trump is a Democrat from NY? I dare you to find a liberal that would have bombed like he did in Syria and like using that MOAB in Afghanistan. There isn't a Democrat who has that much intestinal fortitude. They wouldn't understand the show of strength and power. Not an apology tour to be found.

I love it that those Trump had to defeat (Democrats, Republicans and Media) to become President, have NO IDEA what he will do next. He is a Square Peg for their Round Hole assuptions.
