acquired Comlink services here at Lake this summer ; most horrible service ever --signal goes out almost daily ; some of their excuses: cut cable, bad node, bad amplifier , don't know, & the one last night --the cold weather ; I've had it as these people don't seem to have competent  technicians who can fix problems --am filing complaint with PSC & FCC ; this morning we have ABC CBS NBC --that's all no ESPN, no FOC no CNN --every night this week no signal after 9:30

I agree, you are not the only one. For over a week we have been loosing audio and vidio signals.

Their internet service is OK but there are times when web sites take a long time to load.

What area for you guys?  I am in Parker Creek area, but not home now.  Had some screen freeze last week but no loss signal.  Not sure if it is out now or not.

If I was you guys I would start prorating my bill each month. Just calculate the daily rate and deduct for each day I didn't have service.  That will get their attention quicker than anything else.  I did this in Childers burg years ago I  the early days of cable there. I would even try to use only the days I was at the lake if you are a weekender and not full time.  Use the argument that you pay monthly for only the weekends use so divide your bill by 8 or 10 days depending on  a 4 or t week month.  If is standard 4 week month divide the bill by 8 to get daily rate. If you had unusable service for two weekends that would get into their bank account. If they threaten to shut you off switch to satellite. You can even get satellite Internet. It has decent speeds but comes with data limits but should get enough to handle weekend use only

Also if you use direct at your primary residence they let you use service at your second home just by paying for an additional box and not another account. Everyone's situation is different but I know a couple of folks who do this. Use cable at primary residence for Internet only. You might also be able to negotiate with a neighbor to ride their WiFi on weekends by bartering something. Of course the drawback is their Internet service is probably as crappy as yours.

they cut my bill 50% in August & Sept--monday i will call and ask for same for October

I thought I was the only one complaining about it! I have had it with Troy Cable and am sure I am known as the "Crazy Lake Lady". I call every day and sometimes several times a day. I aways get a lame excuse as well. Told them the other day that with what I pay and as long as this has been going on that they could have redone the complete system! Had one young lady the other night tell me they have found wires running across creeks in water. I told her that was a fib because we do not have any runnig streams because of the drought. LOL I called when it froze up during the Troy vs USA game and asked for a score. Poor kid started giving me a play by play.  Please keep posting updates if anyone hears any on who to complain to.

Have Troy Cable internet only and the reliability is much improved over the previous owner.

I continue to do fine in Parker Creek, but did go round and round with them on internet about five years ago.  They installed new cable and improved service greatly.  TV has never been a problem.

Again, what are of the Lake are yall located?   And do you have basic cable TV or digital ?
