We will be coming from Prattville. Have family so want to find a place where we can set up awning, chairs etc. wtih swimming area and then jet ski from there. Can anyone tell me the best place to go? We have been a couple of times before, but have not found beach area. Would also like to picnic. Thanks!

Dare Park or Wind Creek State Park are the only places I know that have a beach area.

Suzy be sure to check cuz DARE Park doesn't open till Memorial Day I think.  Wind Creek is the spot. Has everything you want and more and very cheap too.

Been busy, busy, long story short house in Bham had to get 50% gutted for the most part - water supply line in upstairs bathroom broke, flooded upstairs, first floor and basement. Hardwoord destroyed throughout the house.
