How do you catch them? Too much boat damage!

Best way to catch them IMHO.

Here you go. Don't forget they are delicious when grilled on a Big Green Egg. Check the grilling section of the Forum for secret recipes. Until you have finished several nice dinners and filled your freezer, you may want to raise your boat up out of the water. As per the off-post section, do not kill any muskrats that have declared their vote to the Republican Pary. Since these rats are mostly nocturnal, you may want to install numerous outdoor lights covering every corner of your property. The big lights Alabama Power provides atop telephone poles are the most popular. Make sure they shine away from your property and toward all your neighbors. There is a distinct possibility your neighbors may kill a few muskrats or scare them away while attempting to take out the football field lighting.

Print directions to Washington DC and leave by the dock.  Most rats migrate there.

Those metal spring traps work great. I don't know the legality of using them here at the lake (and don't tell PETA), but that's what we used on the farm up in Ohio. Set em' up with a fresh apple, and you will be certain to catch the pesky critters if they're around. Also be sure and have a pellet gun or 22 around for final dispatch.
