Greetings on this beautiful fall day....does anyone have a good supplier for replacement windows?

Would rather have a great summer day - sorry... As for replacement Windows - the only suppliers that I know of are Microsoft, and a warehouse in China - you may want to try Apple if you want to change OS's. Do not have any experience with replacement windows yet, but could use some, so will be watching for other posts. :-)

Wood, vinyl or aluminum? What kind of windows are in the openings now? Casement, single sash or doublehung? What part of the Lake are you located on? Mike

Not sure where you are geographically but we are having to replace a bbunch of windows in my house in Montgomery and my son, the skilled carpenter, is replacing them using materials bought at Southern Sash and Window Supply on Air Base Blvd in Montgomery.

The bar in B'ham is not a Tiki bar.... I will have a few now - got to work this week. Do I sound like Summer Place?

BTSOOM.  I am stuck in Charleston wishing I was on my dock tossing back a couple kick-a$ $ margaritas.  Summer place, summer lover, whatever, the weather is fantastic but danmit that means summer is over...:>(

Charleston isn't so bad either....

Been here too many times.  My customer flies in from Norfolk tomorrow - maybe we can get into some mischief downtown - although my favorite restaurant is on Shem Creek (downtown Charleston restaurants are a little too proud of their food unless the missus is along or it is another "occasion".)

It ain't over Hodja, my wife and I got wetsuits last year, and we can launch lower than winter pool... Let's keep it going. :-)

We lived there from 87-90 and I still go through there often when working. I enjoy the college dives on King street and a decent time can also be had on Market street; I don't need the fancy places, just the fun ones.

call a couple of window manufacturers - Anderson, Pella etc and get the name of the local sales rep? I'll bet they could put you in contact with the right folks.

Hi All...I am never sorry that I asked.  I have learned so much from you guys, where and where not to eat, much more about bumpers and fenders that I ever dreamed of, and how much we all appreciate our beautiful lake.

Don't know exactly what you are looking for, if you have standard windows, or where you are located but, there is a place in Sylacauga about 3 doors up from OT called Sylacauga Glass.  I have had them replace all the windows in 2 houses in the past and they do a great job.  Have also used them at the lake for some broken panes etc.  Give them a call to see if they service your area of the lake.

Murph is absolutely correct.  They will do an excellent job at reasonable price.

And ya gotta love doing business where there is a sign prominently displayed that says "Sexual harassment will not be reported, it will however, be graded"

I've called Lowes, Pella, Window world, Durante, champion and windows and doors pros. Can Sylacauga glass do the double paned gas filled windows? They sound like the type of company I'd like to call.

If you are just replacing fogged insulated glass I would recommend Alex City Glass.
