Here are some interesting statistics from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. To be fair, we have to ignore the numbers for 2020.

The GDP, the greatest indicator of a country’s economic vitality, grew 2.4% during President Obama’s second term. It was roughly the same under Trump (2.5%) before the pandemic hit.

Job creation: There were 215,000 new jobs created per month under Obama. Under Trump, 182,000 jobs were created per month through the end of 2019.

Obama, who entered office during the Great Recession of 2008, dropped the unemployment rate from 8% to 4.7% in his second term. And it continued to fall under Trump through December 2019 to 3.5 percent.

Looks like Trump hats in 2016 should have read “Keep America Great” and that the 2020 hats which read ”Make America Great”, based on the current unfortunate unemployment numbers, is correct.

Comparing one POTUS's second term no anothers first is dishonest.  Some jobs were created in his second term in spite of Obammy, NOT becasue of him.  He spent several years destroying those jobs, then wants credit for creating them.  How long before Obammy claims the credit for the NEW Turmp economic recovery.  ONce again in spite of dems, not because of them.

To the contrary Fish,  in Obama’s final year, the economy grew at a paltry 1.6%. And Obama scored the dubious achievement of being the first President since Herbert Hoover to fail to have the economy grow at least 3% in any year during his term.  What an achiever, that Obama......

but it is still the truth.  The overall economy performed better under Obama than Trump before COVID and it swamped Trump when COVID   is put in the mix.

Boy Archie, that is some parallel universe you live in.  Record low levels of unemployment, low interest rates and lowest inflation in over 50 years during Trump's third year.  There were 7 million unclaimed jobs waiting for applicants.  The  median household income was up over 5000$ as compaared to the O/B years.  What will you say next......that the Reagan boom economy was the result of Carter's policies?
