Went last night- grilled grouper with green beans and baked tater. Food was delicious, however, portion  grouper was thin as bacon. Wife had fish ??, one of which only had a one inch square piece of fish very thin.  Results-- food taste excellent, portion size of meats way too small for prices.  And yes, I know how far we are from the coast.

Ordered "ribs" on first visit.  Got six small ribs with less meat on them than I have seen anywhere.

If you had Coppers facility, Niffers atmosphere and Oscar's food it would be perfection IMO.

Rooster: sorry you had that experience--we eat there 2-3 times a week & have never had a bad experience; i suggest you call the food service manager, Don Arthur @ 256-373-3536; he is a very reasonable & pleasant guy & aims to please

Similar to Roosters complaints.  Food was good but portions vs price are off.  Several of us had different meals and most felt they walked away hungry.  Weird someone else came on here and had the same thoughts.  Ol Copper better take note....its a good concept to get people via cart and take you up to the spot but if the food aint matching up then the whole thing will fail.

At least Kowaliga'fish ?? has fish in them, but we just do not like the restaurant.  Harbor Docks is very good or it was last year.

Despite the limited menu and Spartan eating environment we prefer The Landing at Parker Creek.  Admittedly distance is a factor, but The Landing is more of what a lake eatery should be.  Outside, very informal, owner working the tables and filling the ice containers on the drink machines.  Games, swimming area for the kids, and the occasional live music.  Find it hard to head south out of our slough for a five mile journey when a turn to the west for a mile finds good times and good food.

The Chimney Rock pizza at Chucks is hard to beat.

My wife loves the shrimp po boy at Kowaliga as well.

Wish we had a Niffer's style restaurant where the old Lake Hill restaurant was - the facility is just sitting empty.  We need more eating options on that side of the lake.

Is Lake Hill the one by the 280 Bridge?

Lake Hill was once a really good restaurant. I guess Russell Lands owns that building and must not want competition for their Kowaliga Restaurant.

When her lease was canceled it was because Russell lands planned for a condo complex there. Then obammy happened and the rest is history.
