Someone in a biplane put on quite an aerobatics show just now over the northwest part of the lake, roughly centered over Scrushy's old place.  Don't know who the pilot was but he/she has amazing skills.  Whoever you are, thanks for the show!

It's Charles Weldon.  He puts on a show quite often.  It's not a biplane but some type of Aerobatic plane.  He flies out of Willow Point air strip

Sorry I missed it.  Love to watch aerobatics and have done some myself.  Fun stuff and really makes you feel comfortable flying straight and level like I do.  How low was he?

Hard to judge but seemed there was plenty air underneath to get out of any tight spaces he might have found himself in.  One to three thousand feet would be my guess.

i once worked with a gent who flew in WW II, first for the RAF, then Army Air Corps after the US joined the fray.  He had some interesting tales but once told me "the two most useless things to a pilot are the air above him and runway behind him".

IF it was a yellow plane it sounds like the same one I watched for years growing up on that side of the lake. Pilot definitely had skills. There were actually two different ones back then. One was a biplane and the other had the wings over the top of the fuselage which as I understand it is better suited to acrobatics. Both were amazing and there were a few days when both would be up at the same time. Now days I get a flyby from Shortbus Aviation every now and then but he doesn't do acrobatics.

Don't forget the air in the fuel tanks.......or the alternative is you only have too much fuel when you are on fire.  Hope I get to see him some time this summer.

I would like to see the P-51 that lives at Willow Point come out and play.  Actually, I want to hear it too.  Everything with a motor should sound like a Merlin engine.

LOL on the navigtor.  When I was graduating from college back in the early 80's I approached the Navy and Air Force because I wanted to fly but because of my eyesight the best I could get was with the Navy as a REO.  No interest in sitting in the backseat with no ability to do anything if the guy up front crapped out except pull the handle.  Went to grad school instead.

That airshow ended when the owner killed himself and his wife several years ago in a T-6.
