River Bank and Trust in Montgomery, interest rate tied to something but right now is 4.25%.  Locally owned bank with great service.

They have a branch I  Alex city also. Right in front of the distribution center across from the retail store(the triangle building). I would check with Kim Davis at Alabama Home Mortgage in Montgomery also. I can't remember the number but should be easy to find.

I assume you are aware of the difference betwee an Equity Loan and an Equity Line of Credit. As to the interest rate of 4.25% based on something...it is probably based on Prime  which is currently 3.50% plus 75 basis points and is a variable rate.

Clean your glasses.  The rate is 4.25, not 4.75, and the "something" is more than likely prime.

in the interest of full disclosure the floor with River is 4.25, even if prime goes to zero.

I DO NOT recommend Wells Fargo. A few years ago, looked into one at Wells, and they jerked me around and lied to me.
