I realize that they are trying to get the money out fast, but the truth is, I wish there was a way to break it down so it gets in the hands of those that need it most.  I'm retired, get a pension, and I don't really need the money.  I have been thinking how best to use the money that I will get.  While generous, the amount isn't enough to save a family that is struggling.  I think quite a few of us are in that same boat of not really needing the boost.  Yes, it is our tax dollars, so we are as entitled to it as anyone else, but I'm not struggling and those of you who are reading this are not likely really in need either.

figured on your 2020 earnings so it is not a give away. If you have filed 2019 already it is based on 2019 earnings. If you have not filed yet it will be based on your 2018 AGI. Asa long as you get direct deposit from the IRS the funds will get there preety fast.

I was told that folks on SS will get it direct deposit to their account. 

this is not an advanced  refund.  It is free money but they will use any deposit information they have or send you a check.  It does not affect 2020 refund.  We may have received different info
