In 2006 Al Franken forced a kiss on a woman and groped her.  He was a ''Star'' at the time.  He has admitted his actions and apologized but is still being pressed by many including some members of his own party to resign.

One year before Franken's disgusting actions, Donald Trump stated that if you become a ''star'' it is ok to do exactly what Franken has admitted. 13 women have come forward to say Trump acted on his stated belief.  Now please explain why so many Republicans are so sickened and outraged by Al Franken but are willing to elect to the highest office in the land the man who believes what Franken did was OK? Why are these same people willing to elect an accused child molester to the senate?

To be sure the espoused policy and political leanings of a candidate and party is worthy of great weight, but should they outweigh a candidate's morality or lack thereof...especially for a voter who is an avowed evangelical Christian.

I suspect this is yet another question not worthy of an snswer in the eyes of this forum.

I doubt that many really care what Franklin did. My guess is that they feel  this is a little payback for scrutinizing everything Trump has  said. By the way the report says that Trump “said” those things. To my knowledge there aren’t any pictures.

Trump never said it was OKay to do it, just that when you have money or fame, you can do it.  He was commenting on the results of fame or wealth, not condoning sexual harassment.  Not one of the women who came forward about Trump accused him of sexual assault, and a lot of them were associated with the MIss Universe pagent - women that put themselves on display to be judged.  He owned the pagent as a money making operation.

I don't think Al Franken should be tossed from Congress because of it.  He admitted it and offered an apology.  As far as we know, he hasn't done it while a member of Congress.

You are always waiting to come out of your hiding place when a subject arises that allows you to bring President Trump into play as a part of your argument. You along with aii the other liberal Democrats cannot get over the fact that Hillary was not elected President. Since you like to make comparisons, "please" tell us your thoughts about Bill's sexual activities in the Whitehouse and his sexual assaults and rape of of other women. This happened whiile all the time Hillary was denigrating these women in every way possible. While one cannot equate sexual misconduct with other unfortunate political ongoings, I think President Trump's election denonstrates that the American people have realized the damage the last eight years has inflicted on our country. The "depth" of the SWAMP is much deeper than anyone was aware of, and it is continuing as the Democratic Party and the "news" media are doing nothing to help bring about the changes so desperately needed. Architect, can you list "one" thing the Democrats have done this year to "enact" any of the changes that are necessary to move America forward? With everything else that has come to light during the last four years involving Hilary, I would hate to try and envision four years of her in the Whitehouse.

And you are always waiting to come out of your hiding place to whine in an overly defensive way anytime someone else uses their 1st amendment right to question or criticize the actions of your no. one hero!

None.  So do you plan to call for Trump's resignation if and when the women's charges againt him are proved true as was done with Monica or he admits to his actions as Clinton did?  Goose / gander etc, etc, etc!!

So who do you claim as your No. 1 hero? I didn't know Bill admitted to any of his sexual transgressions. I remember him firmily saying, "I didn't have 'sex' with that woman".

Typical...never answer the question...always change the subject.

Bill Clinton initially lied and said he didn't have sex with ''that woman, Miss Wilenski''.  Later when confronted with evidence and under oath he admitted to having an ''inappropriate'' relationship...he told the truth when placed under oath.  Are you absolutely sure your hero would do the same under oath?  One of his accusers has brought a suit, so it is likely he will eventually be placed under oath.  I am 99.9999% sure the a$$hole will have no problem whatsoever telling the same lies under oath he does in his tweets, but, if I am wrong and he does confess to ''inappropriate'' relationships will you call for him to resign?  There it is again...that testy question that will, if answered (and I am fully aware it will not be) demonstrate whether you are actually willing to put your money where your mouth is or just continue to be a typical rightwing hypocrit.

Bill Clinton was a good president but sleazy human being and no hero of mine whereas Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter were mediocre presidents but a hero to me because they are exemplary human beings.  Donald Trump is a miserable failure as both!

Your attempts at justification never cease to amaze me. Yes, Bill Clinton lied but didn't tell the truth until he was confronted and under oath. Why didn't you just say 100% and and make it easy on yourself. As to answering questions, I didn't see an answer asking you to list "one" thing that the Democrats have enacted this year in response to bringing about change expressed by the electorate. Also, I would be embarrassed if Barack Obama was the only person I could look to as a hero. I knew about Lewinsky, but I guess I missed out on Wilenski.

Maybe he can just be impeached and then not convicted and continue out his 8 years in office and go on to attack women with your blessings - oh wait that was Bill.

How you can put Jimmy Carter and Barrack Obama in the same sentence?  Jimmy Carter went on to prove himself a great humanitarian.  The man has solid accomplishments, post presidency.  What exactly has Obama done to put him in the same league with Jimmy Carter.  I haven't seen Obama or his wife, do anything since they left the WH except living large on vacations, in the house they bought (or was bought for them?)  In his last 4 years, Obama created a bigger division between the races as anyone before him.

Jimmy Carter is an examplary human being.  Barrack Obama is just a poser.

Goose/Gander? I guess I could be like the Gander Left and wait until he's out of office then fain moral outrage when it would be politically advantages.
