Beware of Pooltracker.com

I would advise against visiting our once trustworthy palooza site...went there today and first noticed that they had taken on quite a few more sponsors than in the past. My Norton blocked a high-risk cyber attack which occurred when I clicked on what appeared to be a message to me from Pooltracker. The attacking computer was one of these that attempt to lock up your computer and request money for them to unlock it. Thankfully, I escaped that attempt unharmed but will not return. I will, however, look for another site for our pool coming up soon. More info soon...

I talked with Jonathan, site admin for pooltracker, about my experience with the attack while at his site. Although he felt that his site was safe since his banner ads was from Google, I was not convinced and would still caution against visiting the site. In the meantime, I have set up a pool at Yahoo...see above post for more info...
