Drove through Stone Bridge neighborhood on Highway 63 this afternoon and noticed that street signs were up.  Wondering if someone has bought this property and what the plans are for this area.  Anybody know about this?

very steep, which will add to building costs//septic installation; been sitting here at least 3-4 years with no activity

I think few of the lots, if any, are actually waterfront. I did see a nice looking clubhouse on the creek with a nice pier which I assume is for use of the entire community. It is on a small creek feeding the back of Elkahatchee Creek. Some of the old timers said this is where the runoff from the dye from the mills came into the lake. I can't vouch for the accuracy of this but it doesn't sound too appealing.

StoneBridge was originally established as an Improvement District, which would include residential housing, public access to the Lake and eventually retail spaces.  (Similar to Mt. Laurel in Birmingham)  I worked for the developer and his love and vision for the community were genuine.  If it hadn't been for the housing bubble bursting in '07-'08, we would have a really unique spot on the lake that everyone could enjoy.  I'm glad to hear it might be starting up again!
