Time to remind the parents of the kids who were killed in Texas that AR 15s didn't kill the kids. Rather, it was just an 18 yr old kid who bought 2 of them.

The Right is Forum Dead...just think what would be posted if the dead kids were the result of abortions? The Right would post Stop Abortions....well, maybe, it is time to stop selling AR15 to 18 years. Maybe, it is time for the Right to defend little kids.

Is it really asking too much to raise the age from 18 to 21?

True - A mentally ill person of any age should not be able to buy any device that injures anyone, but liberal courts have prevented proper treatment for the millions of mentally deranged dimokraps, so they can commit murders.

Read something at least mildly interesting the other day - and since you want to bring up similar I think I will post it.  Funny he was well know to the local police, he had mental evaluations - but no followup ?  HOW DID HE PASS THE BACKGROUND CHECK?!??!??!?!??!?!

If abortions used AR-15s you would support them more then abortion clinics, demand they be in schools, and have them on every street corner.  Both are used to kill babies.

I notice you did not post anything regard the fact that the shooter was LBGBTQRSTUV+ which probably makes him a nutter from your side of the isle. Your silence is truly golden!!!!!  

I have guns, none of them have ever left the safe and killed people on their own.  The problem is you dont want to ban AR-15s you want to ban guns period.  Human nature is that people will use what they have or can get - if not a AR15 (which is used in less shootings/murders then pistols) So if we ban ARs and the problem does not go away, next will be pistols, shotguns, then muzzle loaders, then sticks, then rocks, then dirt, then hands, then people.

How about if we really wanted to make murder drop - make the punishment so horrible people would think twice about it.  Hang the bastards in gibbets along side the interstate until they die of malnutrition or starvation - hopefully its long and harsh. Dont give the bastards a claim to fame on TV, just slow and painful - hell hang a webcam up next to them and live stream it on PPV. 

If there are "limitations" to the 2nd then why not the 8th?

Goofy: Describe to all of us the functional difference between a Glock 9mm handgun with a 30 clip magazine and an AR-15 with a 30 clip magazine.  How are those different in their basic functionality.  I'll tell you one difference.  I could put 5 of them and 20 mags in a backpack but I couldn't put one AR-15 in a backpack.  Stop being fooled by focusing on the gun that was used.  If there were no AR-15's he would have used handguns with large clips and the result would be the same.  Start to focus on solving the real problem.  Then we can talk.

Pistol is also easier to use in close quarters.  swinging a 16+" barrel arround takes space.

I agree - it shows that the police failed to do their job, did not do it in a timely manner, which means that citizens have to step up and do the job - please see the off duty border patrol who was getting his hair cut and borrowed a shotgun from his barber who ended the shooting.

The more that comes out it shows that the police did basically everything wrong, so much for just sit around and wait for police to take care of it.  That is how you get MORE people killed apparently.  And apparently the officers had training as recently as a few months ago on active shooter....

Did you hear about the cop who told the kids to call out if they needed help, and the kid called out for help which allowed the gunman to locate the kid and kill that one too???????  

When you need them police are at best minutes away, sometimes almost an hour or more depending on the situation.  

But I still dont understand that you still want to focus on the fear of an AR15 and one nutjob by 50-100 trained law enforcement who did nothing  vs doing the jobs they are supposed to do - I do not think that is making the arguement you are hoping for.  50+ officers, sworn to protect - stand around the parking lot debating what to do while kids are killed - sounds like a perfect arguement for armed SR officers, faculty and staff who can pass appropriate background checks and get some training to be able to do what may have to be done to protect the children.

I noticed you conveniently refused to answer my question about the functional difference between a semi-automatic handgun and a semi-automatic AR-15.  I gave you one that demonstrated that handguns would actually be easier to conceal.  You respond with "you have to be 21 to buy one".  Despite the fact that this is incorrect it ignores the real issue when focusing on AR-15's.  What most 2A proponents recognize is that if they try to ban AR-15's and somehow succeed (a dubious outcome given the Constitution) they will subsequently make the same argument I am making......there is no functional difference between an AR-15 and a handgun so these must be banned as well.  We know how the left thinks and won't be fooled.

Well he only broke a few dozen laws - a few more and that would have probably caused him to think twice. /sarc

If we only had universal backgrouind checks that would have stopped him from buying a pistol for someone who is not a dealer - which he passed the background check from a dealer.

If only we could pass a law to make illegal things illegal.  Worked great for alcohol, immigration, drugs, child sex crimes, child abuse, murder, speeding, DUI, DWI - on and on and on and on.  

One blanket law - Do good, or well we may not even punish you if the bad is just not *that* bad - subject to interpertation on a case by case basis as to what the definition of bad is that day and in that jurisdiction.
