Has anyone noticed changes to Charter Cable.  I have TV's that don't have a cable box that have been getting several  of the additional channels including ESPN and FoxNews.  This weekend nothing but channels up to 22 and fuzz after that.  I guess it is time to move on to one of the satellite services.

What did they say when you called them? Are you using the box or is it still in the closet?

I tried to to turn my box in last week since I get more channels on TV's without it.  THey told me if I turned it in they would send someone out to cut cable off to the house.  So I went back and put the cable box in the closet.

They may have converted the channels to HD and you need the box to receive them.

I just came up to the lake Saturday and noticed the same thing.  I used to get more channels, but channel 22 is the highest I get now.  That seems to be Charter's strategy, take away services and raise rates.  I do not have a cable box and am using older CRT TV's, but that's OK for the lake.  We live in Auburn and recently switched to Knology/Wow and are very pleased.

Just got back to the lake and checked my tv's.  I only have one connected to a Charter box but all the others are normal.  Still receive the additional channels.

I'm certainly no fan, but they are in the process of moving everything they can to HD and I recently had to upgrade to the boxes to get the channels.  I now get more than I ever had and my bill actually went down when I converted my account to get those boxes.
