Stuff like..

1. Socialism does not work as well as captialism?
2. Federal government does not do well at running most programs? (Welfare, postal system, social security, medicare and others come to mind.)
3. Our constitution is a brilliant document that should be interperted and not legislated?
4. Personal responsibility, given an even playing field, promotes human dignity and productivity more so than reliance on government?
5. This form of government is uniquely exceptional in the history of mankind?
6. Smaller government, with less intervention, is preferable to big goverment, largely because of political self interests too often trump doing the right thing?
7. We all pay too much of our income to the inefficiency in Washington?

Just a few random principles I pose without calling anyone a stupid liberal or bigoted conservative..

We may find a new friend in the old homeland. Daniel Hannan was amazing. If we cannot learn by others mistakes then there is no hope for the future for our children. I would love to see this guy as the new Prime Minister! Wow!

Totally concur, wish to that our own Senator Shelby watched the video before he voted for the 3 trillion dollar appropriations bill (without having read it) last week. Same guy, conservative republican, I voted in the last time he ran?? Trust me, I will take more time voting when he comes up for reelection.

Well, we all agree that ours is a great country. And that the national debt is out of hand, and that the economy needs help. We all also agree that Lake Martin is a wonderful place.
And I have a feeling that if anyone needed help on a "one-on-one" basis, that most everyone here would do something to try to help. And that taking a pontoon boat ride around the lake on a warm evening is probably as close to heaven as you can get without dying.

We spend a lot of time fighting over things none of us can change anyway. It's that American "competitive" problem solving spirit.

I just spent the morning with my camera trying to capture the beauty of the wild dogwoods in the woods. I doubt even MM could get me going right now.
