First a little context to understand that her alleged outrage came on that day was a lie as many of her text messages in the months following are coming out.  Suffice it to say that she characterized herself as an insurrectionist and spoke very favorably of President Trump including and I quote, “I would rather shoot myself dead into the Potomac than see marine one flying around this city without 45 again,”.  This three months after January 6th.  Her texts also include a lot of disparaging comments about the sham show trial and RINOs Cheney and Kinzinger.  In fact she used STOP THE STEAL at the bottom of her messages.

But more to the point, her entire demeanor and perspective changed when she was provided pro bono legal representation by a left wing nut anti-Trump lawyer and was groomed by Alyssa Farah, the never Trump so-called "conservative" on the View.  I am quite sure they all advised her that if she turned on Trump, told a bunch of lies and hearsay stories (that she was probably fed by her handlers), she could avoid all legal jeopardy.  Turns out her texts also include a bunch of pleas for financial assistance for her legal costs as she was subpeoned by the commissariats running the show trial.

Well they saw her as an easy mark by offering free legal help in exchange for being willing to tell a few dozen whoppers. She is a liar, a coward and a disgrace......but we told all you breathless left wing nuts suffering from TDS that no, this was not IT for Trump, the walls were NOT closing in and that she was a lying bag of human excrement.  And we were right....once again.

Don't tell me you are one of those who thinks true Cross Examination of the witness would be benficial to the process.

Our Committee will determine which lies are facts, thank you.

And when do we have a Summer2020 Committee?

Well, didn't this come out when the Republicans on the committee cross examined? Wait, What did you say?

All a sham.  Archie and Fish I bet watch every live episode.

No doubt they watched with rapt attention and screamed at the TV, we've got him this time!!!!  Scott Adams had a pithy summary of the sham hearings as outlined below:

1. Trump attempted a planned insurrection.
2. Okay, loosely planned.
3. Okay, not planned, but he encouraged it.
4. Okay, he didn't encourage it, but he didn't try to stop it.
5. Okay, he did try to stop the violence, but he should have done more, and sooner, during fog of war.

At the end of the day, it will be like the Mueller report - nothing is going to happen.  You can be sure that Democrats don't want to set a precedent that could be used against their President in the future.

when you boil it down:

1.  Trump encouraged some right wing nut groups to march on the Capitol.  He realizes that these are weak minded people he can manipulate.

2. It probably went in a direction he didn't expect.

3.  He thew Pence under the bus.

4. Pence, after a fashion, certified the election.

5.  Trump enjoyed what he had wrought for a while, before telling them to go home.

6.  It scared the heck out of some members of Congress.

I don't agree with what he did, but at the end of the day, the election was still certified.  Just like his phone call with Zelensky - it was wrong, but at the end of the day, they still got the money allocated to them.

At this point, I would like to see Trump disappear and for a new candidate to emerge. Trump is out of office, Biden is in office and is making a royal mess of things, so he needs to disappear from the political playing frield too.  It's time for a return to common sense.

I think he is going to run and I strongly suspect if he does he will be the nominee.  Things like the Turning Point straw poll results certainly won't discourage him.  At this point it seems DeSantis is the only R with a chance to beat him in the primary....but if he tries, won't.

I agree with you and like Hound, I really hope he doesn't run.  Too much baggage and he will not only energize Democrats he will give them additional rationale to cheat....more than they usually need.  I don't think even DeSantis can stop him.....and he is the only one with even a glimmer of hope.  Pence, Pompeo, Cotton, et al are wasting their time and other people's money if Trump decides to run.  The only slight hope that DeSantis can stop him is if it is a binary choice and not 27 candidates splitting the non-Trump vote.  I think you'll see a lot of people that would love to run against Biden or whoever replaces him sit this out if Trump declares.....and wisely so.

If I were DeSantis I would only run if Trump doesn't and I would not in a million years be his VP.  He is young enough to wait this out.  If Trump wins he can still run in 2028 regardless of who the VP is and if Trump loses again he can likewise run in 2028 as a successful two term Governor.

Fully agree that DeSantis does not need to associate in any way with Trump, neither an opponent or mate.  Matter of fact who would be VP running mate for Trump this go around?

No, I did not watch the hearing but, obviously, someone else did. Surprising how MM has such a low opinion of a fellow Republican.

"Cassidy Hutchinson, a former top adviser to then-President Donald Trump's chief of staff Mark Meadows, has recently cooperated with the Department of Justice investigation into the events of Jan. 6, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The Justice Department reached out to her following her testimony a month ago before the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, the sources said.

The extent of her cooperation was not immediately clear."

OK. Good.  That will be the end of Trump.  CH testimony "I think I heard someone say that Trump wanted to go to the Capitol"  and "I heard that he grabbed the steering wheel"  and "Yes, I was on the inside and thought I was hunky dorry, but sniff sniff he refused to give me a job"

Goofy is surprised I am critical of a Republican.  Ya see Goofy, only the left is so tribal and driven by a quest for power that they will support anyone with a (D) behind their name.  First of all I am a Christian first, economic and social conservative second and vote Republican as a distant third.  I vote for Republicans because they are closest to my religious, social and economic beliefs and Democrats are the exact opposite.  Second, I could care less about her past and am only concerned about the fact that she not only willingly participated in the Stalinesque show trial but knowingly and critically lied repeatedly after taking the oath.  She is a useful idiot and now that her usefulness to the left is over she will be cast aside by the left.

But you can be sure of this. Either her text messages, which I am sure she stupidly believed would never see the light of day, provides a true picture of her beliefs and frame of mind at the time (which was wildly pro-Trump) or she was lying in her texts to ingratiate herself to those that might be able to help her down the road....as in a job with Trump in Florida which she sought with gusto (not something I would do if she actually saw and heard what she later said what she saw and heard).  Either option is not a good look.  I personally think its the former and only after she was rebuffed by Trump and offered free legal counsel and absolution did she agree to lie under oath and told wild, silly stories like Trump trying to grab the wheel of the SUV being driven by the SS.  No one believed that story unless they suffer from TDS......which means people like you.

So no, you should not be surprised in the least and I would do the same with anyone that did what she did regardless of party affiliation, gender (only two options, male or female), sexual orientation, race or religious affiliation, including atheists and agnostics.

Bottom line... the SUV incident..true or false is rather insignificant compared to all that Trump did to encourage the insurrection and his failure to end it.

This reminds me of your great find 2000 Mules. Nothing there but you were all hyped up. When a video clip was played by the Committee to Bill Barr,  the former attorney general said that he believed the election was not stolen by fraud. "I haven't seen anything since the election that changes my mind on that, including the 2,000 Mules movie," he said. I  assume you also consider Barr a liar.

Is there anyone who has testified who was truthful?

Goofy, try as you might there has been zero evidence that Trump led or incited an insurrection.....or that one even really occurred.  I refer to the issues like grabbing the steering wheel as they got the most play by the govt media.  I can assure you if there were substantive evidence it would have been presented and Democrats would have been more than willing to allow the GOP to place their desired representatives on the show trial committee to cross examine witnesses......but alas, they did not because they knew it would all fall apart based on serious questioning and presentation of contravening evidence.  That thye could not allow because they know this is yet another in a long line of political witch hunts meant to distract hard core leftists and RINOs from the real problems created by Dementia Joe and his merry band of idiots.   And so we have the goal post moving all over the place and finally landing on the weak sauce that he didn't act "soon enough" or "try hard enough" over the course of several hours to get the idiots out of the Capitol building.  Goofy, just take the L and go home.  The guy asked for 20K National Guard trips prior to J6 and was denied by Queen Nan because that would have upset all the harde work of FBI agents and agent provacatuers that they had whipping the crowd into a frenzy.

As for 2,000 Mules, since you have not watched it I suggest you keep your powder dry.  I seriously doubt Bill Barr watched the entire thing but let's be honest.......he made the same claim as AG, apparently hates Trump.....and you think his lack of willingness to admit that he didn't do a thorough job as AG investigating vote fraud in 2020 means anything?!?!?  I know it's not naivety, you are blinded by TDS.

Why hasn't anyone come forward to defend Trump? Forget the committee, who was in the West Wing and is defending Trump? Forget your TDS....just tell us who are his  defenders?  You, Tucker, and WIX......HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You can't be that stupid are you?  Dude, they aren't letting people that tell the truth about what happened to see the light of day. Bannon said he'd testify but only if it was televised. No way so they charged him with contempt.  Goofy, there is no real evidence of an insurrection.  There is no evidence that he incited the idiots.  There is no evidence, only opinions, that Trump didn't act soon enough.

Take the L Goofy.  You have lost once again.  Deal with it....or not.  I really don't care.

Please tell us what there is to defend against.  There was no insurrection and Trump encouraged them to go PEACEFULLY.  You are grasping at straws...with nothing on the other end. And the whole thing stinks of a setup.  Pelosi refusing the NG, rabble rousers urging the protestors on, and so forth. It was a faux insurrection performed at the will of the Democrats in power. What a crock.

Looks like you  are onto something important. Suggest you  contact the DOJ and the lawyers who are bringing the civil suits against him and advise them of your findings.
