The Government is my shepherd,

Therefore I need not work.

It alloweth me to lie down on a good job.

It leadeth me beside still factories;

It destroyeth my initiative.

It leadeth me in the path of a parasite for politic’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of laziness and deficit spending,

I will fear no evil, for the Government is with me.

It prepareth an economic Utopia for me, by appropriating the earnings of my own grandchildren.

It filleth my head with false security;

My inefficiency runneth over.

Surely the Government should take care of me for all the days of my life!!

And I shall dwell in a fool’s paradise forever.

Exactly right.  More than half our society now thinks they are owed something by the "rich" or the "government".

Just read one of those things on FB about "What I learned by Being around the rich" - and everything was negative.  Not one word about how hard they work, the risks they take, their contributions to charities and the arts and other things that people take for granted.  It is just digging the hole deeper about why it is "bad" to be "rich" and what an awful person you are if you happen to be rich.

Like my stepson.  Just convinced that there is a "shortcut" to success, instead of realizing that it is the effort and time you put into something that makes you successful.

Unlike Reagan who recognized that govt isn't the solution to our problems, govt is the problem, leftists think that govt should control all aspects of our lives including providing us with the resources on which to live.  They see govt as the solution to all that ills us.  I see govt as the source of many of our problems....not all, but far too many.

That must be true, because the Biden Administration is doing their best to direct every aspect of our lives - and they still can't figure out a way for the rich, not the middle class, to pay for their social welfare programs.

The reason for that is the rich simply don't have nearly the wealth to pay for their socialist wet dreams and as always, the middle class will be screwed.  And not to mention the fact that they have the best accountants and lawyers to get around tax laws, something the middle class can't afford.  And finally not to mention the fact that they have the high powered lobbyists that get the loopholes in tax laws that only they can take advantage of.  And don't forget they also want to tax corporations, which likewise screws the middle class as the cost of additional taxation gets passed along to the consumer.  Corporations don't pay taxes....only people do.
