Considering the actions, or lack thereof, of the Afghan military and civilian government and, for that matter, the Aghan people over the last few days, do any of you consider the trillions of American taxpayer dollars spent and the gallons of American blood spilled to prop up this "Sh#thole'' country over the last 20 years by Republican and Democratic administrations as a good and worthy investment?  Do you think it would be wise to invest even more?  Maybe we should take a hint from the Brits and Russians....money and lives spent on afghanistan is money pissed away and lives wasted!

That's  not the issue at this point.   Make a decision to leave.  During 7 months determine who are our friends to protect.  Discreetly get them out.  Remove sensitive stuff from our buildings.  Method to deactivate equipment once in hands 9f enemy.  Get people discreetly from embassy.  Be ready to bomb hell out of any Taliban movement. Remove troops.  Send a mean tweet!

To further your position, I remember Trump instigating a plan to get us out that supposedly Biden could not change.

But the word is that the Trump plan was exit on condition.

It seems that the management of exit is a disaster due to the combined incompetence of the executive, military and intelligence.

Based on Trump's eagarness to kiss the azzes of dictators in Russia, Saudi Arabia, N.
