So they could consider the 14 year old here in Alabama that shot and killed 4 of his family members with a 9MM handgun, a "mass shooter"?  

I like Phi's observation!  Not a single gun pictured, so even they admit that the guns aren't doing the shootings, it is people.

For me it was the number of deaths that meets the definition of mass shootings, the number of shooters that meet this definition and the diverse ethnicity of the shooters when compared to the govt media coverage (which would lead one to believe that all mass shooting perps are white racists).  I believe that the term mass shooting applied to four deaths is kind of crazy but it is what it is.

You can be sure that the vast majority of these "mass" shootings were not done with an AR-15.  Most were probably handguns with a smattering of other types.  As I explain to the ignoramuses on a regular basis, a handgun with a 10 round clip can do as much damage as an AR-15 with a 10-round clip......just doesn't look as scary I guess.

I figured the way the MSM media reports it - it should be around 60% AR's, 30% AKs 10% assorted other military grade weapons of 4+ destruction.

I was shocked to see a page full of people of assorted shades and at least one drawing, to imagine a drawing shooting anyone.

Here's the ironic part of his blatantly obvious question.  He apparently noticed the same thing we did about the racial makeup of the mass shooters and was naively trying to bait us with the question.  You would have to be a complete moron not to notice the discrepency between that aspect of the photos and the media coverage which would lead one to believe that all mass shooters are white men.  I would very much like to see a poll on that question.  Might differ between parties but if I were a betting man I would guess that well over 75% of liberals would say white men as would a large percentage of conservatives.  Much of that can be attributed to the media coverage but I suspect a lot of people would also be surprised at this group's definition of mass shooter.  Using the term "mass" with the number 4 seems silly to me.  

I also think this group did not consider the unintended consequences of pointing out that 10%-15% of the population is responsible for 75% of mass shootings in the U.S.  I would also be willing to bet that the vast majority of those mass shootings by African Americans were with handguns that were obtained illegally although I haven't seen that kind of analysis.  Finally, I would be willing to bet the ranch that not one of them voted for Trump.  Kind of screws up the narrative doesn't it?

Guns don't kill people! However, people with guns do kill people.  If those people didn't have guns they would be much less likely to kill. You use, falsely, the term "gun lovers".  That is BS.  We own guns for several reasons....hunting....self protection...but to say we are "gun lovers" is a crock.  For danm sure I own guns as a way to protect myself and my family.  Do I love guns, he!! no.  I wish I didn't feel the need to own and carry them but because of the tenuous nature of "the peace" I refuse to lose because I wasn't prepared.  That applies to when we are out and about (concealed carry) and were our domicile to be invaded (Castle Doctrine).

I wish I didn't feel the need to protect myself and my family this way but I do and have taken measures to ensure I can.  Call me a "gun lover" if you like but if you do you will be as wrong as you have been so many other times on this forum.

Can you not understand that persons who plan to kill someone(regardless of the reason) will obtain a gun or whatever weapon they choose to carry out their plan. If it's a gun they choose and they can't obtain it legally, they will resort to other means such as buying one from a friend, robbing a gun store, breaking into a residence, etc. Once a person has become "obsessed" to kill someone, they will go to whatever extreme necessary to obtain a weapon to commit murder.

most of the killers in the news lately bought their murder weapons legally.  Yes, once a person is resolved to kill he or she will find a way and we make it simple.  It is so easy to get a gun legally in this country the thugs usually don't need to hold up a gun store!  They just loiter around the parking lot at a gunshow with money in their pocket.

Criminals who sell guns are probably salivating over all these attempts to limit gun ownership — after all, the more gun ownership is limited, the more money they will make.  No one has mentioned that illegal gun buyers are many times looking to obtain guns which cannot be traced to them, so going to an illegal source is key for them.  Gun control is a farce, or would be if we weren’t talking about life and death.
