Not a lot different than any other Administration. You just don't see it publicized very often.
I think DOD does about the best of not wasting money on administrative expenses. (now I'm not saying they don't have other excesses, but that is a different conversation.) When I was still working for the Army, we had an Assistant Secretary (political appointee during the Bush administration). He decided he wanted to go to the Paris Airshow. Airshows are considered to be both marketing of it's military aviation equipment and kind of a show of force. Anyway, this guy decided to go. First he wanted a suite at the Ritz. He was shut down on that. Then he wanted breakfast with Pamela Harriman (Ambassador to France). He wasn't important enough. Then he wanted a private tour of an Impressionist museum. He was shot down on that one too.
Pulbic Officials are supposed to be good stewards of the taxpayers dollars and the ethics rules say that even if something doesn't, but gives the appearance of the wasting tax payers money, not supposed to do it.
As a former government employee, it really amazes me the things these cabinet Secretaries are spending money on. So far out of bounds for ethics. The Chief of Staff of the Army (military 4 star) was challenged about the use of a helicopter from the Pentagon to Andrews AFB. My, how times have changed.

Wonder if PEE-losi still has her own private DOD jet to fly her to the left coast every week. Or did she have to give it up when the dimokraps got kicked out of the Speakers job?

Well, she is no longer (gasp) third in the line of succession to the presidency (Pres, VicePres, Speaker of the House, Pres pro tem of the Senate), so she is just a plain ole representative, and when I was traveling a lot and flying out of Washington National Airport there were tons of plain ole reps riding plain ole airplanes on their way back to their districts. God forbid that the demkrats regain the House and don't have sense enuf to find another Speaker.

What is truly sad is your fixation on these miniscule amounts while you totally ignore the trillions being spent on things that are not even the responsibility of the Federal govt. How much of a lavish lifestyle would I pay for if the head of the VA could fix that monstrosity of a mess? Millions! How much would I pay if EPA were brought under control and no longer legislated using regulations? Millions! How much would I spend if someone could eliminate the billions in Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security fraud? Millions! How much would I pay for someone to eliminate the Dept of Education, Obamacare, etc.? Millions! You see Casey, I actually think that the real travesty here is a Federal budget in the trillions doing things the Federal government should never have been allowed to do. Do that and I don't give a crap about flying first class or whatever.
You remind me of the guy dying from cancer and spending all your time wringing your hands over the pimple on the end of your nose. Wake up man and put this energy to use on tacking the real problems of out of control government spending.

Basic civics here Goofy but I'm happy to educate you. Spending bills coming out of the Senate require enough votes to get cloture so it can be voted on. As you apparently do not know, cloture requires 60 votes which means some Dems have to vote for the bill. So the GOP had to compromise with them on entitlement spending in order to get some of their priorities funded. Hence the monstrosity so we could avoid the nonsense when Dems controlled both Houses when they never passed a budget.
Having said all that, it is obvious that the GOP lacks enough fiscal conservatives to tackle the real problem with our spending, entitlements. Fully 75% of the bduget is already baked in with these entitlement programs and then they fight over the scraps. There is a spending problem that neither party will meaningfully address. However, the GOP is clearly the lesser of two evils......but not by much.
