You must be kidding. When has the lake been this full after Labor Day
|
ok...full pool is 490. Winter pool is 480. There was a possibility the power company was going to raise the winter pool to 483 instead of the previous level of 480. Anyone know what ever came of this possibility?

we won't know until likely early next year. Per AL Power in an Outlook Article:
"FERC staff now will write a final Environmental Impact Statement with recommendations to the commissioners, who are expected to make a decision in the matter early next year."
here's a link to the full article:

yep, we've been very blessed over the last few years and I think APC has stepped up awarness since the 07 drought. That said, the newbies always seem to whine until they figure out how lucky we all are to have what we have.

Found it using Google and will eat there tonight. Some of the Italian restaurants in Little Italy are ok but touristy. Am always looking for real Italian food.
LNG, I have almost given up on getting that addition finished. Seems everything else has higher priority, including travel for work, going to see my man pin on his fourth star, granddaughters volleyball games, grandsons baseball and football games, keeping five acres of grass and trees in check and on and on ad infinitum. I will be Diamond with Hilton Honors once agin before this trip is done and we are not quite three quarters of the way through the year. As BT said, can I have some cheese....lol

It's pretty basic, but good if you like old school Momma made Italian.
|
If you're closer to Little Italy, go to Filippi's Pizza Grotto. Another mom and pop hole in the wall with great food. Much more than just pizza with excellent veal parmasian.....you go through a small grocery to the dining area. I'm getting hungry......

Just got a boat this year and leaving it at a friends........what should the lake level drop too before we pull it out? Trying to enjoy the lake as long as possible!
|
Not enough data....if it's in deep water you can leave it in all year if you want. If it's in 3 feet of water, you better pull it out now. The lake will drop about 4-6" per week until the end of October and then about a foot per week through November if all is normal for rain. If it's a dry fall, it will go down quicker.

McGill, you should put together a "taste of the country" tour for LM Forumites. Get us a great deal on flights, first class upgrades and off we go. The Layover Left overs tour"

My wife and I ate there several years back and I do remember it was good. When I was here in March I went to LI but didn't remember the name Fillippi...you jarred it loose from the crusty ole grey cells.
Actually am staying at a Homewood Suites in Del Mar. I prefer to stay here or the Embassy Suites in La Jolla that is directly across the street from a huge shopping center where, among other things, you can get REAL espresso and gelato.
