Today, we lost one of the coolest guys I have ever meet in my many years of being on this lake. I will not mention the name, but everybody knew him and loved him! A real stand up icon of a man that will be truly missed! Don't worry buddy, we will continue to blow roost over bridges in your honor! Love ya bro, and save me a seat in your cat when we meet again! My initial thought after reading both of your post is to blow a gasket and do things that I might regret later! But upon further inspection I understand that you are not a local and or a guy that has any clue of what goes on around here, cause you would have known about this! I was really upset when you called my post a spoof!!! If you have no clue what is going on then shut the fuc up! Hear me??

You are coming off as an A-hole..... Just because someone doesn't live there now. Doesn't mean that they haven't lived there before or have other ties to the area. If it was so secret, then maybe it didn't belong on here. With that being said, I am sorry for his family and friends loss. Crappy :) (Just outside of Nashville)

You are correct sir, I was very ill about the entire deal, maybe got a little loose on the tongue, but its not a joke or a spoof!! When something has potential to be a serious matter, its best to stay silent if you dont know what is going on. I wish I could take those post down, but the site wont let me, so guess I will live with it.

I was scratching my head as well, and your comment about a cat really had me in fear that it might have been another frequent poster who has had his heath problems, you know.

Now, there used to be someone posting on the forum (I think) as Miller Time...one in the same?

In any case while I didn't know the gent, obviously he was well though of, and to those who knew him ,I am sorry for your loss.

Forgive me sir, but my husband and I have been "here" for 25 years. Have no idea, regretably, of whom you speak. However, that doesn't mean we, or others, should be insulted by you or anyone else, for caring enough to ask. We are all family here..

Indeed it was "Miller Time".  You may remember his Jr. posting sometime back.  I as well was sad of his death, and he and his family are good folks.  I will miss him!  His open heart surgery was about two years before mine.  My 6 year anniversary is coming up soon.  Richard made the comment "I am a ticking time bomb to die" speaking of himself many times in my presence.  He was extremely adimit about wearing his kill switch while operating his CAT for that very reason.  I remember four days before my surgery, having chest pains while driving my boat upwards of 130 mph (at the beach) with my family on board.  I remembered his words.  Kinda scarey, but that is the first time I had them.  Also, HPHQ is a friend of mine and we see each other and exchange information often.  He came to visit me the morning after he made that post and really wanted it removed.  Although it's done now, that is not his nature.

Respectfully,
Steve

Thanks to everyone here who has tried to help me with this! That or not saying anything about how rude I was. I feel that I owe all you folks an apology as well as an explanation. I have been very saddened by the passing of a good friend, combined with ending a 15 year relationship with tobacco a mear five days ago, compounded by a couple beers, I lost it! When my friends passing was referred to as "to bad " I just plain came unglued. Hope everyone will forgive and forget this happened. Thanks. Jeff Harris

Nicotine is some bad stuff.  I have been clean for almost 6 years.  Good Luck with that.
