Might be great, who knows? But, but,,, I already got an oven or the smoker, sans wood, for roast turkey I already got a propane fryer that works well, and ain't gonna' fail me on Thursday morning, or Friday Night with fish in it. Just something about electric toys like this cooker that tell me to reconsider the appeal to try it. We use a small electric deep fryer at home for small meals and snacks. Works OK, but I do not expect it to last. As someone would say, Just Sayin'

Yeah, I'm considering something to use while away. We will be in a condo with the kids joining us over Thanksgiving and then there is the occasional tailgate or other away occasion. Our little fryer died a few weeks ago and my old propane turkey fryer is about rusted out after 20 years of service, so I'm looking at options that may come in handy at home too.
....then again, we may just order the pre-made Cracker Barrel family meal like we did last year. Not bad, and plenty of leftovers (but I missed the cooking as a family event).

When you get ready to replace the propane cooker look at FISH fryers, not TURKEY fryers. The new turkey fryers have a safety timer and thermocouple that keeps you from cooking!

Got a buddy at LM who uses a hi-pressure (?) fish fryer that looks and sounds like a lifftoff of the Space Shuttle at Kennedy. If the gas nozzles were pointed down rather than up, I think it might really get off the ground. Kinda' scary up close. Good fish tho'.

Char Broil has one too using infrared. After you get throught the "Box Stuffer" reviews the cooker appears to have significant quality problems. BTW I have noticed these "reviews" before with other products.
