   As they wre adding a new wing to a Catholic hospital the Mother Superior sought out the foreman.

   "You must simply do something about your men's language", she complained.

   "Sister", he said, "I would like to but you see these are earthy men. They call a spade a spade."

   "No they don't," she said. "They call it a .......'in shovel!"
