Bad news for the left wing nuts but a recent Yale study indicated that people that self identify with the Tea Party have a positive correlation in science comprehension (i.e., they are more knowledgable in the area of science than the national average).  Comports pretty well with some other studies out of Columbia and UCLA that debunked the racism and intelligence charges......the former wildly overstated and the latter recently debunked by a Salon article that admitted they were more intelligent and wealthy than the general public (I know, a low bar to be sure given the reelection of TOTUS).  In fact, the UCLA study slammed the media coverage as being so over the top biased that it is almost exclusively responsible for the misconception of the general public about racism in the Tea Party.

So there you have it, conventional wisdom once again proven to be abjectly false........sort of like globaloney.  Now if they would  only do a similar series of studies on Obamaphone owners like GF......

Really pizzes you off that I enjoy my phone and eat well with my EBT card. Just keep paying your taxes in a timely manner.

By the way, Palin the Tea Party Queen can see Russia and is a great example of the smarter Tea Party members.

GFY, This is Paul Harvey in 1965.  I think he knew you and most liberals back then.  Here is a little something he broadcast.  Listen and enjoy.

GFY - There you go drinking the Kool Aid again. Gov. Palin said that you could see Russia from certain parts of Alaska which is true. Tina Fey, however, while playing the Gov. on SNL said that she could see Russia from her house. If you're going to slam someone, at least be honest enough to use facts. Sadly, most of your liberal friends probably believe Gov. Palin actually said that. They also buy into and promote the idea that Tea Party members are racists. Really pathetic...

I can provide a long list of stupidity coming from your false god that pales in comparison to that bogus line about Palin.  If he is the best and brightest the left can provide I think you should avoid throwing stones from your glass house.  A smattering of Obama's idiocies.  He's visited all 57 states, he mispronounces corpsman as corpse-man, his infamous Jedi mind meld, thinking Hawaii was in Asia, we built the intercontinental railroad, Middle East is an issue that has plagued the region for centuries, health care reforms bringing inefficiencies, talking about his Muslim faith and on and on and on.

No wonder he has spent millions to keep his grades secret...he just isn't very smart.....just a clean and articulate (ala Joe Biden) that advanced only because of affirmative action and was given a gimme on his first term by the low information voters.......probably the same ones that actually think Tina Fey is Sarah Palin......

I have been to both the Tea Party and the Occupy gatherings. There is a stark contrast.
The Tea Par-tiers I have met are educated, responsible people who are deeply concerned for their country. They believe we are headed in a way that will destroy the freedom and financial system that has been the envy of the world. They are willing to work within the system to legally fix and preserve it.
Few of the "Occupiers" seemed to have a clear idea of what they are protesting. Their knowledge of American history, of the ones I talked to, was almost non existent. They knew not the difference between a Democracy and a Republic.
Most though that socialism/communism was the answer because the government gave you things. In short, most seemed pathetic and little prepared to earn a living.
There was a great difference between the areas where the meetings occurred. The Tea Par-tiers left only tracks while the area of the Occupiers was almost knee deep in paper, bottles, cans, feces and condoms. And these are the ones who want to "save the planet."

Your Tea Party queen is nothing more than a quitter. I sure hope you have more intelligence to be one of her followers.

I am wondering if we met at the Occupy gathering? I remember a guy who was a speaker who was wearing a snorkel and flippers.

Nice try to change the subject but you originally posted a low information voter lie about Sarah Palin and now you want to change the subject.  Even brilliant people quit what they are doing......but they don't commit the serial gaffes of 1800OTUS......your false god and hero..........  You stood in your glass house and started to throw phony stones......no changing the subject.  Any response to all his faux pas'?  If thats even a word......Archie can ask his wife.....she watches me pretty closely......which has me nervous.......

MM,

I can understand Archiebelle's wife watching you closely.  Archiebelle has GFY and Copperhead, she might be looking for a liaison more satisfying than what she has at her residence.

I don't think I have any mistakes to acknowledge.  If perchance you are referring to my vote for McCain/Palin in 2008 I think we can safely assume that she could be as dumb as a doorknob (which of course she is not) and she would have been infinitely better as VP than Biteme........that guy can't even attend funerals without making an a$$ of himself......let alone when he is vainly attempting to do something useful.

George W Bush is a perfect example of Affirmative Action. He was admitted to Yale cause he has the last name Bush. Then, how did he get admitted to Harvard MBA? More of the same...... Affimative Action.

Kinda cool to be born in Kenya and rise to POTUS. Shows we are the land of opportunity.

Don't need a Yale study to figure it out, superior intellect nor even a high school education.  Can't borrow $0.45 for every $1.00 you spend over the long run.  Might work for a while, but sooner or later one runs out of blank checks..  Not an economist, did major in math and still pay bills; what am I missing something 'fishy?.

I don't totally disagree with you.

Interesting that you did not post on GOP Party of Pork.  As long as your town gets a grant it is acceptable. That is the problem wth our country....cut the next guys payment but keep mine. Both Right and Left love federal grants for local projects.

"A proposal to end the government shutdown and avoid default orchestrated by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic Leader Harry Reid includes a nearly $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky project.

Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123) provided to WFPL News shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion."

Uh GF, Mitch McConnell had nothing to do with this project being included in the bill, which was clearly the implication of the cherry picked language you attached.  It was two other Senators that added it to the bill supposedly to fully fund an already partially funded project in order to save money from inevitable work stoppages due to future funding requests.

Now I hate pork as much as anyone and this one makes me sick.......but the implication that McConnell rolled over in exchange for the $3B project is abject nonsense......he rolled over because he lacks true conservative principals and I hope his gets primaried as a result.

GF, let us try a little game.  Before we make wild claims about affirmative action admission, let us see whose academic transcripts during graduate school are available to analyze and whose are not.  A  "C" average in the graduate curriculum would indicate to me that the individual was qualified for admission, would you not agree?  i will give you a month to locate Obama's transcripts.  i should only need about 15 minutes for Bush's since the New Yorker Magazine dredged them up in "04.

What GF does not get is the difference between legacy and affirmative action admissions.  All schools give deference to children of past graduates.  So if one of your parents graduated from a specific school you will get deference in the admissions process.  I have no problem with that because it only applies to one school and the parents paid their dues so to speak by attending that institution.

Affirmative action on the other hand basically allows unqualified students to get into any number of schools for no reason other than the color of their skin.  And then once they are in the guilty white liberal profs will jolly them along because they have such low expectations for them other than hopefully being clean and articulate like 1800OTUS (ala Joe Biteme).  And the result is we get the affirmative action president that has been a miserable, abject failure (unless of course his real goal was to destroy our economy and standing in the world) but was given a do over from his first miserable term leading to this second miserable term.

The only hope for this country financially is term limits. The only ones that make any effort to reign in this squandering of the people's money are the "Young Turks" such as Tea Par-tiers. We need them while they have "fire in the belly" and will charge the windmill! The Polit Bureau had a higher turnover rate than our Congress. Now after a term or two now they think themselves similar to Saudi Princes.
I have heard it said that if you sent the eleven good Disciples to Washington that in six months they would be corrupted!

The Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) criticized U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) Wednesday for ALLOWING a $2 billion Kentucky earmark to be added to the debt deal he negotiated with U.S. Senator Harry Reid (D-NV). SCF Executive Director Matt Hoskins made the following statement:
"Americans are familiar with the 'Cornhusker Kickback' that Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson was given in exchange for his vote on Obamacare. Well now Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell has an Obamacare earmark of his own.

"The McConnell-Reid deal not only funds Obamacare and suspends the debt limit, it also includes a provision in Section 123 that increases funding for the Olmsted Locks and Dam in Kentucky from $775 million to $2.9 billion.

Now I understand.........So did basically every single Democrat Senator that voted for it.  As I said, I hope the RINOs get primaried, unlike you and the other left wing nuts that reward Dems for their profligacy.  GF, as I say frequently to you (apparently in vain), pull the plank out of your own eye and stop worrying about the sliver in mine.

I will take a party with occasional pork, moral failings, etc. over one that celebrates and rewards that same behavior as well as their objectively failed policies and ideology.
