the sub lineup is better than Dadeville. I went contra one time with the Philly cheese steak. Yes...it is not the place for that but.... It was ...well ...lets say an unusual experience...or... weird. Pizza is not bad but not great. I hope A-Town takes it to another level.

asking too much... LOL, I went to Jersey Mike's subs in Auburn one day. I knew I was in trouble when they asked me if I wanted mayo on my sub.... and the bread wasn't quite right. They actually have Jersey Mike's subs in NJ (in fact, the chain started back in my old area). Like everything else independent sub shops have been going away. I'm always wondering why this stuff just can't translate. It isn't that hard to make a real Philly cheesesteak. Or even to make an authentic sub. We just may have to import some Italians to Alabama.

Publix makes a pretty good Philly. But then they study it first.... Why can't these shops go to Publix and see how they make their sammys? Its not that hard is it?

Never had a sandwich from Publix. But a little bit of research goes a long way. Maybe they've never had the real thing, so they modify it for the "Southern" palate. But I'm pretty sure that most Southerners would appreciate the real thing. None of this stuff is hard to do, because it is essentially "peasant" food.

It wasn't too terribly bad. In fact, it was better than I thought it would be. The people who are running it seem nice. We went at lunch and they had a pizza bar and salad bar. Now, we'll just see if they survive there. That building has housed several restaurants and none of them have been successful.
