Made the 4 mile run to one of my favorite spots . Picked up one rod and the line was wrapped around my worm rod . Over the side it went . I may be 61 but at a retail replacement value of 350 bucks I hopped right in and grabbed it . i was glad I had a sweat suit stowed aboard . within a few minutes I was dry and fishing instead of cold and wet and headed for the house .As the season turns colder we should all keep in mind that hypothermia can kill you as dead as drowning will . It just takes a little longer . When the water gets into the 50 's and lower , an unexpected dip can get serious quick . Have a dry change on board and know how you are going to get back aboard quickly . If you take 10 minutes trying this way and that to get back on in cold water , you just might not survive .
Anyway , I caught a few spots with the jigging spoon and one with the puppy .There was actually a little surface schooling activity this evening .

Thanks for the reminder. I've had a similar experience...but in December on Lake Jordan. Although I had dry clothes I got cold QUICK. BTW Better to take the wet clothes off...even if you don't have a dry set to put on.
