Subject:	Hard time finding stripers

Wife and I pulled the boat up to Wind Creek State Park and set up camp for a few days.  Arrived on Sunday afternoon. put the boat in the water, parked the camper and settled in for several days of R&R.

Went out early on Monday and motored across the lake to exploring humps, points and the mouths of some creeks.  Ran up to the 280 bridge and explored all alone the main channel, back down to the Highway 21 bridge.  Did not mark fish anywhere.

Tuesday we made the run all the way down to the dam.  Worked around Islands, points, humps, creek mouths.  West side we explored around the amphatheater, childrens, up to the 63 bridge.  Didn't mark any fish.

Wednesday we again tried the humps, points and creeks on the north end.  Nadda.  Back up the river above the railroad bridge, down to the 280, deep channels and points.

Three days and didn't mark a single striper on my bottom machine.  Disappointed in the fishing.  Thrilled at the wonder and majesty of the solitude and sanctuary of nature.  It was awesome.

Just wish I know where to find the fish.  Head scratcher for sure.

my guess is the surface temperature needs to come on down another 10 degrees to get the striper fired up .
