I want to know what some of you will do when Obama wins the election. Will you move out of this great country of ours or support the president. I dont want to sound offensive, but all of the posters in this forum sound like you will slit your throats if a democrat wins the white house. Your tones in this forum would not in any way convince any undecided voter to move to the republican side. Name calling and the like to defend your opinions seems childish to me. Lets start a new by all having a bit of tolerance for anyone with a different opinion than ours. It is ok in my book to state contrary evidence, but to add in the name calling and bashing only makes people stupid. Every one has one vote. Get out and vote and let your voice be heard.

None of us have ever said we will slit our throats or act like the wacky leftists in Hollywood and threaten to leave if Obama is elected (by the way, I would buy the one-way ticket for any one of them but they are just full of hot air and can't leave their Hollywood mansions and private jets).
What does drive us is our belief that he is a classical liberal with a socialistic world view, he is wildly inexperienced in almost every area of expertise needed by the President and combining him with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid would have significant, long-term negative consequences for this great country and that our children and grandchildren will have to experience the disaster of another Jimmy Carter. If that makes us passionate so be it. What drives much of the vitriol on this forum is the complete and utter lack of logical thought, reasoned argument and any kind of understanding of basic economics coming from Obamination supporters.
I realize that some of the liberal posters on the forum are trying to bring us down to their level of intellectual bankruptcy where they can then beat us with experience. I try using reasoned arguments and all I get are talking points from some Obamination website. At this point he seems likely to win and we will see how he does. My reasoned judgment is he is going to be a disaster. We shall see.

You expressed what I have been thinking, While I enjoy a good debate with each side defending their position, calling others stupid and saying they suffer from "class envy" when they disagree with you serves no good purpose.

What is wrong with the truth?

Why are you so concerned about me stating the truth? Look, if someone wants to accuse me of always using logical arguments backed up by facts I am willing to live with that comment. Likewise if someone wants to try to argue based on emotion and talking points they should be willing to accept that comment as well. What you want is for some artificial discourse that doesn't address the facts as they exist.
What you don't understand is I am not trying to nor would I ever be able to convince a diehard liberal or one of the so-called moderates that base their opinion on which way the wind blows on that particular day. I am trying to reach those that have the capability for rational thought and may actually be swayed by a dose of the truth. If it really bothers you I would use the filter that allows you to not see posts by those you don't want to read or ignore them.

Out of curiosity, did what again?
He didn't call names, just assessed actions.
He provided his opinion of Obama's philosophy and what might happen if Obama is elected.
If you support Obama, please provide the rest of us with something other than :hw has a vision".....

I personally have not accused anyone of having class envy, but when posters refer to things like "driving your BMW", and "your million dollar mansion", it sure looks lake that is what is motivating some posters.

I didn't see anyone say they would leave the country. I'm still waiting n Alex Baldwin to leave! He did promise that! What we will do is start preparing ourselves for what we see to be the downfall of this great country and the principals it was built on. I'm just glad I will probably have a few years to weigh it out and make some big decisions. I don't think that I will continue to work hard to give to those who have sat on the butts for the last 20 years that I've been busting my butt. I would consider closing my doors and sitting back and enjoying some of the fruits of my labor. I remember a book from childhood called "The little Red Hen". She worked her butt off and others laughed and played. When it became hard times they all wanted her to bail them out. She said NO I have worked hard and you laughed and played. Lesson learned. I think I was four years old! Even Biden said he expects an attack on this country and other countries look at Obama as unexperienced and weak.

You see, what they really object to is the truth and they try to cover it up by claiming that I did something I did not do. For the life of me I have never understood why liberals won't admit that they envy the rich, want to redistribute wealth, believe that government is the solution to all the problems of the world and on and on. I have no problem admitting and vigorously defending the conservative principals that I believe in. They want to shut dow the debate and discussion because it might make someone feel bad, or it might challenge their emotion-based worldview.
This is the reason why I believe if Obamination is elected and Pelosi/Reid control congress that we will within 100 days see a new version of the unFainress Doctrine. They just can't compete in the arena of ideas so they have to shut down competing thoughts and ideas. Just shut up and vote. Don't try to sway anyone's opinion. Don't call a liberal a liberal.

Can't wait for the next attack. Is he saying that by electing McCain, this can be avoided?
October 20, 2008 7:35 AM
ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.
"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

I don't deal well with name-calling, so I'll leave that one alone. I won't leave the country. I will deal with what comes, if BO is elected, the best way possible. My responsibility is to my family, my God, and my country.
If the projections become reality and Congress becomes so Democratic that the Republicans can't stop some of the Democratic agenda, I believe we will (as a country) have a big revolt forthcoming next election time. This country is still a conservative country for the majority, and if/when Dems begin hacking away at that base with more unfair taxation, more intrusion into our basic rights, etc., we will see real change a'coming.
As others have stated, we survived Carter, so we can survive Obama. Hollywood, illegal immigrants, and the jobless aren't the majority in this country. I am still hoping for a Republican win. I really hope the pundits are correct in that BO must become more conservative-Right to be a successful President, if he wins. And, I truly hope that if BO does win, those of us who anticipate the worst are wrong.

This is so ripe I hardly know where to begin.
Yes, he is implying that if McCain is elected there won't be an attack because our enemies know that McCain is no JFK and Obamination is no McCain. The spin they are trying is that whoever the next President is we will be attacked. That is not even close to what he said and no amount of spin will change that truth!!! BIDEN HAS ADMITTED OBAMA IS GOING TO BE A WEAK PRESIDENT! He actually asked for forgiveness in advance for their incompetent response to the promised test of Obama.
Second thought is what happened to the world suddenly changing when Obamination becomes President? I thought it was all going to be light, love and roses forever and he was going to change the entire world, he was going to restore the love of the world for the U.S.?!?!?
The fact is I believe they are already trying to lower expectations now that they think they have the election sown up. That also explains why they have removed Biden from the stump. Who wants to bet that if he gets elected Biden will resign for "health" reasons.

How about this contest. I will come up with stupid things Biden has said and you find a corresponding one for Palin. And I am not talking about policy statements that you disagree with. I am talking boneheaded comments. When we are done I expect an apology in writing to Palin.

Let's not forget about your boy Murtha, who in a critical swing state like Pennsylvania, first calls western Pennsylvanians racists, then backtracks, and now calls them rednecks! you just can't make this stuff up. I'm from Pittsburgh, and this has them fuming. Don't be surprised if the entire western half of Pa swings to McCain.

My best friends went to W&J. You were there from 74-78? I graduated Immaculate Conception HS in 1978. Friends that went to W&J were Tim and Tom Morrell. Both wrestled there (Tom was AA state champ in 78). You probably just missed them.
