I notice that no one has ventured a comment over Trump's dinner with Furentes and "Ye".  Both have been vocal with their remarks on Nazis and anti-semitism.  I guess that Trump has decided to be the other side of the coin that has Biden and his "wokeness" on one side and Trump and his anit-Semitism and pro-Nazi rhetoric on the other.  

As much as Biden's "woke" agenda disgusts me, I am equally disgsted by Trump's crew.  I think the leaders of the Alt right shojuld be deported for the hate they spew.  If I don't want to live in Biden's "woke", anti-gun, anti-police society, I also don't want want to live in the white supremeist society either.  I don't know what Trump is playing with, but it isn't pretty.  Comservatives should dump him.

This is why no one has posted on the dinner....because of the misinformation.  As I understand it the meeting was supposed to be between Trump and Kanye West.  Kanye West brought two other people to the dinner, one of whom was this nut job.  So this was a failure of his team in not vetting who attended and allowing it to happen.  One thing I know for 100% sure is that Trump is no anti-Semite.  You can take that to the bank.  But his team utterly failed him and he will pay the price.  This is yet another example of why I won't vote for him in the primaries.  

What I find very interesting though is the focus on this event.  Have dinner unexpectedly with an anti-Semite and the media goes beserk.  Be an anti-Semitic member of Congress and they tell us it is progress.  We live in a screwed up world and Trump will take his lumps for a failure to not give the media red meat.

I'm not so sure that Trump isn't anti-semetic.  Yes, he has donated to Jewish causes in the past, but then a large percentage of NYC. is made up of Jewish people.  If he hadn't, I'm not sure he would have been permitted to build his real estate fortune.  Having dinner with Kenye West - "Ye" has been vocal in his anti-Semitic beliefs, so I don't know whyTrump would even consider having him visit, much less eating dinner with them.  And Tump has always been a little too friendly with the White Supremeists.  

So if someone brings someone else to your house and say that person want to destroy the USG, you would still entertain them?  There are plenty of ways to end that - " a very important engagement that you forgot about" or something urgent comes up and they are gone.

If anything I believe he may be a pragmatist.  He has a Jew in his immediate family, his S-I-L Jared Kushner, and while one could say that alone doesn't mean he isn't anti-semetic (it was his daughter's choice) he made Kushner a key player in his administration.  In one of my Air Force courses years ago the point was made that as a person grows up and develops prejudices, those projudices never go away.  The challenge is for the person to not have them influence his or her actions.  I am not bothered so much by who Trump meets with, but whether those visits result in his making decisions prjudicial to one group or another.  In a way ot makes sense for a leader to be well informed on ALL sides of an issue in order to make a sound judgement as to how an issue should be handled.

And before someone starts calling me a Trumpista or some other childish name because of the above, I still don't want Trump as our next president....but if he is the Republican nominee I am convinced at the Ivory Soap level of confidence that I will vote for him over wehatever clown the Dems come up with.

Looks like even his more ardent supports from 2016-2020 have TDS trying to analyze his motives. I find that amusing.....

The fact is Trump is an opportunist who will try and appeal to whatever group can deliver votes. Although he likes to be in the company of Marjorie Green and Gaetz, I don't accept the theory that he is anti semtic but he certainly knows how to turn people off. His base keeps shrinking as I don't believe younger voters or Independents will follow him as their leader. The majority has had enough of Trump.

The noose is tightening with all the court rulings against him. I think he is running as a defense against all the cases he is involved in. I really wonder what he thinks about when he is trying to fall asleep. What will the next knock on the door bring? Hell of a way to live...one step ahead of an indictman.

He doesn't do anything to make himself look better to a broader segment of the population. Maybe, if he just told the truth.

Goofy, do try to have an original thought although the chances of it making sense is pretty low.  So basically Trump was telling the truth about getting bamboozled into meeting the guy.  As I said, his staff failed him and for that he will take his lumps.  

FYI, that last line is an abject lie that has been debunked so many times that only severe TDS sufferers bring it up.  As you know, he was clearly referring to people on both sides of the issue of tearing down these statues.  On that he is 100% correct.  But never let a good lie go by when you have nothing of value to add.
