Would any one of you guys/gals not have been with your spouse if he/she was having surgery that would keep him/her in the hospital for a number of days? Bush would have been there, Obama would have been there...and I can't imagine any other of our Presidents would not have been with his wife. Guess Trump was too busy saving Chinese jobs. Or watching Fox and Friends. He disgusts me. Although, come to think about it, it's not without possibility that she did not want him there.

I wasn't aware that POTUS sent you his daily itinerary every day. You don't know if he was there or not. He may have chosen to stay away so as to not cause chaos and confusion. It's not like he could just stroll in and cop a squat in the waiting room with the rest of the families waiting on loved ones. Your TDS is starting to really show. You can get mends for that.

Lifer, I will not argue with you. But it is stated by many sources that he was not there. And you really cannot think that, at Walter Reed, he would have had to wait in the common waiting room. I imagine he has enough 'pull' to have been able to wait in a private room. I just find it incredible how behavior that would be criticized in almost any other human is excused if it's Trump. That has been a real mystery to me.

I can assure you that he was aware of each action and procedure, that he had "people" doing whatever they needed to do. He was not planning to use a scapel, or provide a stich, but when his wife was out of surgery and appropriate he visited. And rest assured that when he leaves, or left, he still knew everything that was going on. You titled this thread just right......REALLY??

My question...if it was your spouse, would you not have been there? Would you have only visited later? Who am I to judge their marriage, but I do judge caring for others that you supposedly care about. Again, maybe she did not want him there. Who knows, but wild horses could not have kept me away from my spouse in that situation. How does one defend that lack?

Well, you are not the President and your presence would not create a chaotic scene of security, paparazzi, reporters, and gawkers that could impact negatively on the care of a lot of patients other than FLOTUS.
it is obvious you scour the news sources to find ANYTHING you can to criticize Trump. You should have learned by now you are just wasting keystrokes trying to prove he is such a despicable human being. He wasn't elected to be Goody Two Shoes, he was elected to run the country and so far he has done a darn nice job at that.

No, you are not correct. If he visited later, it would be the same chaotic mess. Why not have the chaotic mess when she needed him for her? And, no, I do NOT scour the news. The news is pretty up-front with his actions (or lack of them). My question (AGAIN) is would you not have been with your spouse and, if so, how do you defend him for not being there? If you say he's a sleeze but you like what he's doing, that would be honest. But to defend his actions is a mystery to me.

I am sure they had situations just like this, but without a deranged, antiAnything news media that is looking for Trump negative.
Yes, I would have been there. But that is not to say He should have. As I said above he knew every thing that was happening, knew when he was going, knew when it would time most helpful to her. Go see the movie Frozen and Let It Go

Done WHAT??? Are you privy to the private conversations and agreements between them? I think you need a dose of Ex-Lax. You are the one trying to create an issue-and failing miserably.

To answere your question "who would" ME! My wife had minor surgery and was in good hands, I was not there because of the fact that I was working to provide for my family so as not to compound the event into a financia crises. She knows I love her and My children and I visited after. I is incredible how judgemental liberals seem to be. You just don't get it the biggest difference between us is liberals want to impose their sanctimonios ideas on others and conservatives are willing to let others live as they please as long as it doesn't hurt others.
It shows how bad TDS has gotten when Trump keeps moving forward in spite of all the resistance so you have to start manufacturing missteps, oh wait you've been doing that for 18 months.
Grt a life!

Yup he has TDS bad, possibly worse then GFY. I find it very telling that he is either elevating himself up to the level of POTUS, or dragging down POTUS to his lake level - because I am pretty sure that you worrying about your lot on the lake is not the same as fixing the US economy, N Korea, Iran and dealing with pu$$yHats likeyourself.
He needed to stay away for the sake of the hospital and patients. It shows its not about him or his wife and sometimes choices must be made for others and not themselves.
You mention Obama - he would have been all up in there with his selfie stick because it was all about him.
Clinton - He would have been all up in some nurses skirt.
As for regular Joe Blow American Deplorable, I have been there when I needed to be, and I have went to work when I had to so that bills got paid and insurance was up to date, and I am pretty sure got less information from the hospital the POTUS did.
I know good people who missed the birth of their children because of their jobs and that they could not get time off. A friend of the family has had a child in the hospital for months for unknown reasons and he almost passed several times, often while she was at work. I dare your dumb a$$ to say she that she was less then someone else because she was not at his bedside in a condition much more grave then FLOTUS.

Casey, I would agree with you, unless she didn't want him there. My husband and I would always stop what we are doing and be there for each other. Even if she was in great hands, which I am sure she was, either of us would just want to know the other was near. I suspect that when it comes to personal relationships, Trump is a narcissist. That is not to say he can't run the country, or do good things, but he doesn't seem to put much priority on his family.
He also didn't mention Melenia on his Mother's Day address, which seems strange to me.
I have a feeling that at this point, their marriage is just for show. Maybe they both like it that way. According to an article I recently read, they maintain separate schedules, they rarely eat together and when he has other people in to dinner, Melenia is never there. All of his ex wives say that he is a workaholic, which tells me he gets his energy from work, not from his personal relationships.
But that doesn't mean he isn't a good president, that he can't run the country, or make good policy. It's just the way he is.

Oh, Rich...indeed we are world's apart. You say that I don't get that liberals want to impose their ideas on others and conservatives "are willing to let others live as they please as long as it doesn't hurt others." Please give me some examples of what liberals want to impose on others. But you say that conservatives don't? How about allowing a woman to choose? How about allowing personal use of marijuana? How about same-sex marriage? How about supporting affirmative action? How about LGBT rights? How about gays in the military? How about using the bathroom by a transgendered person? It seems to me that conservatives aren't particularily eager to let other's live as they please....only the others that they agree with.
