Yes, the Republican won, but only by 6 points in a district that is solidly Republican and Trump won by 20. They also spent a lot of money on a seat that should have been a cake walk. It is true that she was replacing a GOP congressman that resigned over sexual misconduct but it does show what can happen when the Democrat pretends to be a conservative. The doctor she ran against was for middle class tax cuts, pro-2nd amendment, against illegal immigration and some other hot button issues which we know she would never vote for if elected. Any way you look at it, if Democrats are willing to lie about how they will vote they can and will win in more conservative districts.

Then, appoint only the best of the best...another lie...no need to go on. You are smart enogh to understand the truth. It is the rest of your fellow deplorables who fall for the lies.

Trump has done more to implement his promises than any politician in my lifetime. And he is doing so without the help of Congress. His roll back of unnecessary and costly regulations alone are worth my vote. Do you realize that the regulatory burden in this country is over $1 trillion every year! No you don't, because you have no idea what it takes to run a business.
Goofy, your TDS is getting out of control and it's gotten to the point that if someone ordered a non-fat latte you would go on a rant about how Trump lied about his favorite coffee drink. You really need professional help because looking at the world through the lens of TDS is no way to live. Now back to the topic.....

No wall, no money from Mexico, and no great replacement for Obama Care. He lied dude now you are trying to hide the fact with "regulations". Pruitt removal of reglations is good for your business so you support him.

Not sure why the use of caps but I'll play along. I know you can't afford your Ritalin prescription so it's hard to stay on task. If you want to start another thread about Trump and his failure after 15 months to achieve every one of his campaign positions please have at it. We can then take the opportunity to explain to you how government works. Or more likely we will ignore it because your TDS is so boring. Now if you have anything to add to this topic that is actually relevant we are all ears......maybe......

In the AZ race the GOP candidate won by 5% not 6%
Trump carried the district by 21% not 20%
You can count on MM to always make an effort to make even bad news for his beloved GOP slightly less bad than it really is
BTW MM: Clinton received 2.9 million more votes of the citizens than El Presidente.

Really getting tired of the reference to 2.9 million votes. The presidential election is NOT decided by popular vote, so get over it. Just like the US is not a true democracy but a constitutional republic. Did you fail 9th grade civics or just decide to ignore it?

Last. I saw it was. 5.7%, rounded up. Is 6%. Those 2.9 million votes were in California, so it wasn't citizens, but illegal immigrant occupants. Keep the facts straight indeed. You and goofy need medication.. You are a confirmed racist and he is apathetic idiot.

It is sad when your tired of hearing the truth. Just pointing out the facts Mr H. Sorry that offends you. There are only 2 federal elective posts that is not constitutionally decided by an actual tabulation of the votes of the people...President and Vice President. Trump was constitutionally elected. That does not mean he has the mandate from the citizenry which preferred somebody else 54.1% to 45.9%. Just another inconvenient truth but a truth just the same!

That's what I saw and I wasn't saying it was all caps, just that you used caps in the first letter of each word in the subject line. I usually don't do that which is what I was commenting on. Isn't that what Trump does or is it all caps? I don't actually read his tweets so I don't know.

I agree, the popular vote legally means nothing, but it does speak volumes about what the American people think about Donald Trump. You apparently hold them and their opinion in some contempt.

Nice try at changing the subject. T. J. was and is a hero of mine. I will take the bait...Ben Franklin opposed slavery and, while no one can obviously know, I think most reasonable people would assume he would be agast at what now sits in the executive mansion.

Well considering that some of them snort condoms and eat tide pods - yeah I do have a problem with those people attempting to decide what is right and wrong for all of America.
You believe that popular vote should tell the president he does not have a mandate so he should just sit around with his thumb in his rear till in your opinion a legitimate president can be elected.
I believe you are an idiot and need mental help.
If a democrat was elected president lacking the popular vote, would you be making the same statments that he does not have a "mandate" and should not governing the way he intends?
If you answer yes - you are full of chit.
If you answer no - you are exactly what I expect.
I did not like Obama, not bceause of the color of his skin, he did more to put more distance between the races, sexes, police force and civilians then any President in my life time. I never said he did not have a mandate because his polling numbers dropped or because I did not like his policies, I feel that his decisions and policies were crap, just as you think Trumps are crap.
But harping on the popular vote to claim that Trump now needs to do the bidding of the majority or should not do something because of the will of the popular vote is intellectually dishonest even from you.

When Barack Obama was sworn in, people asked me if I listened to this speech or that speech and I respponded no, because I was more interested in what he did than what he said. The same is true for Donald Trump. Are his spoken words and some actions unsavory? Most would say yes, and I do too. Do I like what he has done and is doing for the country job-wise? In a word, yes.

another election in 2020, so let's see who all those disgruntled Americans that, accoring to you, are the majority, find to run against President Trump. Perhaps they'll draft Michelle Obama?
I find it funny that Congress is elected by majority vote, they supposedly have a "mandate" to represent the majority, yet on both sides of the aisle, they continually ignore that and do whatever they damned well please.
You bring up all these "founding fathers" and claim that they would be appalleed by Trump - but I don't think they would. They were the radical thinkers of their time. You are trying to put them in context of today and who can really say what they might have done or said in today's world. Perhaps they would have washed their hands of politics, given all the political theatre that is today's politics. I think they might have enjoyed Trump's comments. They believed that less government was the best- completely opposite of what today's Democrats want. I imagine they would have been apalled by people that expect the government to provide them with a living while not working. Remember they were the big thinkers of their time, they were great orators and enjoyed lively discussion. Some of them lived with women that were not their wives. Shocking huh.

The reason the "Wall" has yet to be built is because you Democrats have failed to do anything but act as obstructionists on every worthwhile endeavor President Trump has attempted. The fact that you and your esteemed Democratic leaders support more legal and illegal immigrants, terrorists, drug smugglers, and any other category of people intent on destroying America is in itself shameful. Immigration to the United States flourished under the eight years of Obama's rule and all you can do is criticize President Trump for trying to accomplish something that has been called for by the "people" during the last several administrations.

So you agree that we need a wall, but if we must pay for it, just let all those people I noted in my previous post keep coming in. How would you feel if a member of your family or someone very close to you suffered a major tragedy as the result of one of these "illegal" persons being allowed to enter our country? Are we as a "country" so cheap that we will continue to allow murderes and terrorists to enter America because Democrats aren't willing to forfeit the benefits they receive by promoting the continuation of not "securing" our borders? You have lowered your "values" by not being willing to protect the lives of our citizens based on who "pays" for the wall.

Democrats are willing to fund the wall. The tax cut should have been less and the money used to build the wall.
A source familiar with the talks said discussions broke down after Democrats rejected a bid by the Trump administration to extend protections for those enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program until the fall of 2020. In exchange, the White House would receive $25 billion in funding for President Trump's long-sought wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
The Democrats countered with an offer to provide funding for the wall in exchange for a pathway to citizenship for all 1.8 million DACA-eligible immigrants -- as opposed to the estimated 800,000 who are enrolled in the program. At that point, the source told Fox News the talks broke down.

Yes.
Either spend it on immigrants or pay to send Trump to his own country club each friday. Or, spend it on immigrants or pay for 1st class or pivate flights for his cabinet. Or, pay for a $30,000 table or $40,000 phone booths. Or, give young aides a big salary increase as Pruit did. It is just a matter of priorities.
