Alan Dershowitz DID in fact say that anything a president did that he (the president) honestly felt was in the best interest of the country even if that included actions intended to aid his election to a 2nd term, that is not an impeachable action.

It is very disturbing that this forum seems to either ignore these words, deny those words were spoken, or have no problem or agree with these words.  If you have ignored them you are a danger to the nation, if you deny he said them you either have not listened to the audio or you do not speak English and if you have no problem or sgree with them this republic is in great existential danger!

How can ANY American regardless of their position on the political spectrum actually take no issue with letting ANY president, including Donald Trump, have such imperial power to rule?  This forum deserves your answer!

Yes I have been on vacation for 3 weeks and eschewed the BS spouted by most on this forum during that rime of decompression and no neither MM nor JD are also Architect and I challenge any of you to prove otherwise AFTER you give a thoughtful response to the dershowitz declaration!

I want you to think about those four words....ponder their meaning.....take a deep breath and think.  Now let me type really slowly once again because it is important for you to understand something so pay attention.  Not every possible act by a President will be IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST.  I know this is very simple for 99% of us to understand but the TDS sufferers like you are unable to grasp simple english.  So Professor Dershowitz never said what you believe he said.  What he did say is that if the President does something IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST which also happens to benefit him or her politically it is not an impeachable offense.  He is 100% correct and as I stated elsewhere it happens all the time with politicians....

So in the case of Trump and Ukraine, it is clearly in the public interest to know whether and to what extent they interfered in the 2016 election.  It is also clearly in the public interest to know whether the previous administration's Vice President was corrupt and subject to blackmail by a foreign government should he ever hold another elected office.  Both of those are quite obviously in the public interest because we have seen 3 years of investigations of Trump about those very same issues so clearly Democrats believe it is in the public interest to know if there was foreign interference and whether a politician is corrupt even though it clearly also benefits them politically.

So Archie, if you keep beating this dead horse all it proves is that you are a mind numbed zealot suffering from a severe mental illness called TDS and you need to never go on vacation again because when you come back you are more shrill, more hysterical, more nonsensical and more illiterate than usual....which is saying a lot.  So it's neither us nor Professor Dershowitz that are causing a sad day for America.....it is illiterate TDS sufferers like you that can't understand simple English but can and do vote.

Ive been thinking and it seems to me that by Pelosi, Schitfy, Schumer, and the all knowing Archies "standards" any time a POTUS vetos a bill He/She could be impeached for "Obstruction of Congress".  It is an obviuos act to obstruct congress by use of the veto.  Open and shut case.  So lets go back and impeach every POTUS who ever vetoed a bill.  I think that would include all of them, but haven't done the  research to find out. 

What could be a bigger, more blatant obstruction than declaring that a bill passed by BOTH houses of Congress, null and void with the stroke of a pen?  Ironically this is not a rhetorical question.

They didn't get our warnings about Obamadon'tcare or the nuclear option and they aren't getting them now about this new standards for partisan impeachment.  Frankly, this is one time where I hope the GOP doesn't follow their lead.  Impeachment will just turn into another way to respond to policy differences and will lose all meaning or significance.  Just another example of petty politics.  The left is consistent....consistently stupid and wrongheaded to their own long term detriment.  Oh well, when this fails they can also go back to hoping for a recession or some other tragedy so they can blame Trump.

If you really want to find a high level of insanity is the reporting out that Obama, his holdovers and faux squaw are reporting that if Trump loses that it will be the worst handover, that at the last minute he could exec order a bunch of changes to make it harder on the transisition, and pass along faulty intel to mess with the incoming administration.

Holy Schiff that that takes some serious nadlers to even put that statement out there by the dims - consdering the Russian BS witch hunt and what we know that Oblamer did going into the transisition.  Hell at any time a Republican hands power over to the democrats what the Oblamers did should be used as the blueprint from now on.  Same as now you can peach mint over the janitor listening in from the pipes in the basement.
