Democrats are already making a-holes of themselves in the Kavanaugh hearings. It is sickening to watch. What a bunch of nut jobs.

Trump has six more years left. He may be able to appoint 3 or 4 more! Wouldn't that be nice? It could stave off the overthrow of America forty or more years.

They’re not ‘making’ a-holes of themselves at this hearing...I’m convinced they were born this way and have an innate ability to always be stupid.

This is all theatrics played for the #resistance base of the Democrat party. He will be confirmed.

I watched a brief clip of the opening. What jumped out at me was the attempts by some who were granted the privilege of watching in person to disrupt the proceedings by verbal outbursts. The question I have is this: Should they be granted more influence over the proceedings just because they are willing to make fools of themselves? They and I have a vote. They and I have the right to petition our elected representatives. They don't have the right to forcibly impose their will on the collective body of representatives through asinine behavior.

You will note that most of the disruption by women who I suspect are members of Code Pink. They are a disgrace.

Remember that the disrupters represent all that is good and right to Arch-Idiot and Goof-Krap. I can't imagine how proud they must be to be dimokraps and watch their brethren and sisterern perform so magestically.

You know, it makes me sad that this is what our elected officials have come to. These are the people who draft our laws, come up with our budgets, consult with the President on imporant national security issues. They don't care if they look like idiots. Their goals are camera time and venting their fear via hostility.

I listened in around lunchtime and Sen Sasse from Nebraska gave an absolutely spot-on assessment of why these SCOTUS nominations are so important. That assessment laid the blame at the feet of Congress for not passing meaningful legislation, and either passing the responsibility to the courts or nameless beurocrats (sp?). He said that the Obamacare bill laid no fewer than some 1200 policy decisions to these same faceless people, and that Senators and Representatives can be fired if they screw up but not the bureaucrats. I urge anyone with an interest to find and listen to his speech. It isn't a blue or red speech, but instead a thoughtful one that needed to be made.

I wouldn't be too quick to lay the blame at the feet of the bureaucracy. There is a lot of blame to go around. Don't forget that those bureaucrats serve multiple administrations - so it is not as though they are all republicans or all democrats, so they are not blocking anything from happening. But as I understand it, hundreds of politcal appointees, a lot of which have to be confirmed, positions are vacant, and it is their responsibility to get the bureaucrats focused to achieve the agenda. But at the end of the day, I still blame Congress for not being able to reach across the aisle and hammer out anything, for the good of the country. Washington has become too party centric to get anything done. Having said that, I do think the Supreme Court is being left to decide things that should never have gone to them to start with - and states are guilty in not passing good legislation either. I do think it is important who is on the Supreme Court and I think it is most important to have a good mix of those who lean liberal and those that lean conservative.
