In quite possibly some of the most ridiculous nonsense ever spouted by this liberal mental midget comes these gems about the need for the government to bail out newspapers:
"depression in the media sector is not cyclical, it is structural."
"We cannot risk the loss of an informed public and all that means because of this market failure,"
There is so much here it is almost impossible to know where to begin. What is most comical is that he admits that structural problem is that more and more people are getting their news from alternative media sources like the internet. I guess when you have newspapers in your pocket and the free markets reject them you have to save one arm of the Democrat party from fiscal oblivion.
One proposal he mentioned was providing non-profit status to newspapers. Gosh, I am confused as the NY Times has been operating as a non-profit ever since Sully took over from Grandma. More to the point, we already have one failed non-profit source of news called NPR and it can't survive without suckling the government teet while is spouts its liberal drivel. Let's examine the logic of this, people won't buy newspapers now so they can't cover costs and need to dump employees but suddenly as a non-profit people are going to ante up so they can thrive?!?!? What a bunch of nonsense.
I could go on and on about this but what's the point? Folks, this is just one of many reasons Democrats cannot be trusted with power.

I will try to keep this logic very simple.
Newspapers are a business.
Businesses sell a product.
Management monitors product quality
Newspapers sell news (as opposed to fiction)
Newspapers sell advertising which depends on circulation (readers… customers)
When the quality of the product disintegrates, the customers stop buying.
When the customers stop buying, the advertisers stop advertising.
When the customers stop buying and advertisers stop advertising, the business fails.
Where is the quality lapse?
Who is responsible for the loss of quality?
What can newspapers (management) do to restore profitability?
Print all of the news… including the truth... leave off the fiction.

I seriously doubt Piggy Waxman's altruism has much to do with aiding the health of the print media as much as his intent to create even more Leftest control of the news, I. E. Pravda West. Remember the totally ilegal seizure of G M,the firng of their officers and the awarding of the assets of the company to the Union. The omly difference between these guys and the Somali Pirates is that these people don't use boats.

OK.. I'm, a simple guy and have got it so far.. Now how do we extrapolate the logic to MSNBC and Keith Oberman, he's still on.. I know this because I'm listeniing to his fair, objective and informative political analysis.. Keith and Cris rule, with a possible exception of the "enemy camp" at West Point.. Give me a break, I'm fixing to lose a very good dinner and glass of wine.. barf..
