I attached the url so I don't have to tell Lady how to get this. Read it and weep liberals.
Also shows Obama at new lows in job approval. I suspect these trends will continue over the next year and a half leading up to the midterm elections so we can restore some sense of sanity to government. My only hope is that the voters, as they learn they were duped by Obama and Dems in Congress, will elect social and fiscal conservatives instead of Dem-lite RINOs.

Opps ... Obama's press secretary beat you to the punch and had the link removed. Only joking, but I do not doubt they are figuring out how to control the negative news about their failings and changing views of the american people.

And this is just the beginning if he gets cap and tax and health care. I am sick for our children, grandchildren and if control of Congress doesn't get back to fiscal conservatives our great-grandchildren. They are going to hate us.....or at least the Obama voters......and for good reason.

...and the bottom line: Overall, 53% of voters say they approve of the President's performance. Forty-six percent (46%) disapprove.

No disputing that number although it is way down and moving downward. The bottom line is that the economy is transitioning to be Obama's economy and the "blame Bush" mantra continues to wear thin. The very sad news is that he has four years for this to turn around (as it hopefully will) but Dems in the House don't have that luxury. If things don't change fast, and there is every indication that it won't, November 2010 will be a very tough year for incumbents. And since Dems control Congress and the mind numbed middle will see they were duped into turning liberals loose I suspect there will be a correction.
Since you seem to place so much value in the polls I do wonder, do you actually have a threshold that if Obama falls below it you will no longer cherry pick this one number while all the world crumbles around him? Or are a Messiah to the end devotee?

Lady is a die hard liberal, and they will never admit they are wrong no matter what the facts or changes in public opinion. Obama's approval is is falling like a rock and she is saying but his approval is still 53%. It was not so long ago she was posting that it was over 70%, then 60%, now 53% ... ignoring that the index of strongly approve (like her) and strongly disapprove has total reversed itself significantly in 6 months since he is in office.
Lady and others like Archie, will not even say what he is doing that they think is so good that deserves their strong support.
I don't have a problem that they support Obama, not everyone will agree, but they will not even say why and what they think he is doing that is so good. They spend more time posting daily events about Palin, that have absolutely play no factor in the destruction Obama is causing to this country and more and more people unemployed.

I don't think it is a huge surprise that his numbers would be going down. A new President only gets about a 6 month honeymoon period. Someone correctly pointed out that the economy is now "his" economy and things aren't appreciatively better. The American people, in general, want instant gratification -- in this case, they want the economy better quickly.

I figure he/they have about 15 months to make something spectacular happen, or once again our government will truly be one of checks and balances instead of $checks$ because of imbalance.

Hound: I agree with your assessment of the honeymoon period which is why diehard libs like Lady and Archie are shying away from the sad reality of where his approval numbers are headed. You live by that sword, you can die by that sword. I have already assumed, as the Messiah's approval numbers approach reality, and probably below if he gets his domestic agenda passed, that the only number to compare it to is Bush's lowest ratings. As long as he is above that they will consider him vindicated. Reality is setting in for true moderates (i.e., true center, center-right and center-left) who were duped by his lies and the cover he got from the government media. He is a socialist and along with Reid and Pelosi is assaulting America with a truly socialist agenda. His numbers are headed even further south for sure.
