That is now the highlight of the  failed rally with more empty seats than filled. He spent half the time trying to convince the country that he knows how to walk down steps. First, they were wet...LIE and now he had leather shoes on...LIE.

It was more a congradulatory statement on amount of testing than anything else "Man let's slow down that testing"

I can't answer that but it was at worst a bad joke becasue he never ordered or suggested fewer tests and testing continues.  This is just another media manufactured nonsensical story.  As you and I have stated repeatedly, Trump can be his own worst enemy.  And this is a fine example of just that......but it was still a joke.  Maybe a bad one...but that is all.

After that poor turnout for his rally, he better watch what he says.  Bolton was all over the Sunday talking head shows, and while I have no use for Bolton, the narrative isn't good.  What worked for Trump the first time around likely isn't going to work for him this time, given the virus and the social unrest.  It would be a perfect time for him to start acting more "Presidential" - tone it down and try to bring people together.  

I read an opinion piece the other day that suggested that Trump isn't really interested in a 2nd term - finds the job borning and difficult, and would just as soon go back to his other businesses.  I don't think his ego would have him throw in the towel, but I'm pretty sure the job isn't what he thought it would be.

it was the second time he has told it.  It flopped the first time when used at a press briefing a couple of weeks ago.  Anybody with common sense doesn’t repeat a failed joke.  Oh, l guess that “common sense” caveat automatically exempts your beloved ego-idiot!

Somehow I doubt he is going to change course as much as you and I would like him to do so.  I don't believe for a minute he secretely wants to lose to a senile old fool like Biden but I suppose it is possible.  I would not read much into the rally and the real problem with it was the lead up about selling a million tickets.  They won't make that mistake again.  I personally think the rallies need to be held outside so people's fear about the virus will be lessened.

As for Bolton, frankly the vast majority of the stories he's told aren't about what Trump has done but what he said he wanted to do....but never did.  The rest have been denied by those involved.  Funny thing is people are talking about how Bolton was very isolated while he worked for Trump and spent hours behind closed doors, presumably writing his cash in book.  And they are likewise speculating that his reason for refusing to testify in the impeachment hearing was he didn't want to lose $$$ on book sales. Also, he was constantly pushing for invasions of Syria, Venezuela, etc. and Trump wasn't interested as he was focused on the economy and is opposed to the "endless wars".

Again, I really hope left wingers suffering from TDS make Bolton a multi-millionaire.  Nothing could be funnier......

I don't think that he will change either.  I don't think he is capable of change.  I don't think Biden has a lot of supporters, per se, but will garner votes from people that don't want to see another term with Trump.  It's not just liberals that feel that way and I suspect they either won't vote or will hold their nose and vote for Biden.  I am seriousy considering sitting this election out myself.  I don't think Trump is the leader this country needs right now.  

Bolton is like John McCain was - he never met a war he didn't like.  He is an extreme hawk.  Interesting though, I do agree with what he said about Putin and Trump - I don't think Putin thinks Trump is much of a challenge.  Trump loves to have his ego stroked and a former KGB man like Putin would be able to read that in a heart beat.
