So the CNN headline is "Amazon rainforest veers toward a potential disaster".  They utilized NASA space imaging.  If one reads the actual NASA description of the image, they say that it is normal for fires to occur now as the Amazon is entering its dry season.  ISS imaging reveals no more fires than average and the normal period for these fires to cease is in November, when rain begins again.  

Why CNN is still profitable baffles me.

Sad too, because I remember when CNN was worthwhile news.  Now everything is a crisis.

In this case it is I am quite sure being presented as yet more evidence of Globaloney.  That this has always happened is immaterial when you can spin it, embellish it and make it seem like something new and unheard of as long as it fits their narrative.  And believe me, for those few people that watch that pathetic cable news network it actully works.  Look at Goofy and his meme about polar bears.  They actually believe that a picture of a polar bear floating on a piece of ice has some greater significance.  That it is some proof of something even though populations of polar bears are way up. 

Like you I do not understand why cnnBS is stil in business except that it feeds desired nonsense to a segment of the population that lives on emotion in a make believe world devoid of facts, logic and reason.  So they have an audience.....it is small and ignorant....but it is devoted to being fed lies as long as it fits the narrative.

  Wonder what the discussion would be if one see a photo from space lets say 250/300 years ago?  Whole villages/communities were destroyed by fires like these. It was an excepted way of life it was life!! We as educated people have really become dumb ignorant society! We build where our house get washed away. We build in forest with combustable materials. We build stupidly just for the Aesthetically pleasing factor. Then we cry poor poor me when it is wiped away.
