Every sngle Republican votes for the Reid Rule.  So we return to the rules of the Senate pre-2003 when Democrats instituted the need for a cloture vote on judicial nominations.  All because Democrats are under the gun by their base to be part of the #resistence.  They better hope Ginsburg or Kennedy don't go away while the GOP controls the Senate or the ideolgical balance of the court could be changed without a single Democrat vote.  Time will tell whether this was a brilliant strategic move on the part of Schumer or a collossal blunder. As of today it appears to me the latter but we will find out for sure when the next justice is up for a vote.

One of my list of reasons to support Trump back in February of last year was that he would support a John Roberts (vote primarily conservative but sometimes fool the folks) candidate instead of a Sotomayor (we must rule liberal against the law) person.

I am ready for Gorsuch to be confirmed and What will be will be

We just need GOP Senators to be solid enough to get re-elected and gain a seat or two.

Before the election ,a wild liberal called in to a talk show I was listening and bragged, we have indoctrinated your children and with one more judge we have won! They had planned to over power the American voter with illegals and fill the courts with activist judges to make law from the bench convert this country to another socialist utopia. Then: BANG,. It blew up in their faces!

   Once again God saved us from our folly! Tf President Trump gets to appoint 2 conservative judges it could change the course of our history for many years for the better.

Needed to be done.  Otherwise nothing would ever move forward.  There is no reason Gorsuch should not be confirmed.  I watched some his testimony and I don't think he is radically conservative.  From what I saw, he believes that judges should judge the cases on their merit.
