I think he should resign.  He must think we are pretty stupid to believe, after hearing his sweet nothings to his sweetie, that it was not a physical affair.  And then, in his apology, of course he has to drag God into it.  As though that makes it all better. 

I go back to what I always say - those that profess their religion in the loudest voices, are usually the ones you need to watch out for. 

I don't care that he had an affair - that is between him, his wife and the other woman.  But when presented with a Kangaroo, don't proclaim it to be an elephant and demand everyone to believe you.

His wife divorced him last year. So, now he is a single right wing God loving conservative dating another man's wife. What is wrong with that? After all, Trump was married to his first wife and sleeping with his mistress. He divorced his first wife and married his mistress. Now, he is leading to win the nomination for the same right wing  God loving conservative party.Nothing changes except the spelling of the GOP family value politician's name.

His worst act is an act of omission. He should have rallied the troops last year to force Hubbard out. To continue to let him sit in the speakers chair is dispicable. At least the judge is not caving. The trial was to start today but he gave a two week continuance and stated the trial will go forward at that time. That man is as sleazy as anyone has ever been. Writing those emails also shows a hubris that only a politician can have. Indicted on 23 FELONIES yet is still in the speakers seat. Its about time to grab the pitchforks and head to the statehouse. I've only read a small portion of the emails and I would convict him just on what I have read. Disgusting.

Gotta love Alabama politics.  Understand that a request has been made to the AG to  investigate whether the Governor carried on his affair using public funds.  Don't know what the AG will do - he's too busy fighting to keep Victoryland closed down and withholding marriage licenses to gay couples.  I understand the 80% of the people polled believe that Bently should step down because he ran on a family values platform and hasn't kept to it.  It's almost as much fun as national politics.

For what it's worth, Bentley was hand picked and elected by the once all powerful AEA TEACHERS UNION.  Bradley Byrne was well on his way to being elected governor, but Byrne had embarrassed the AEA UNION by bringing to light double dipping by state legislators in the junior college system who were on the payroll, but never showed up for work....a total dimokrap run deal by AEA TO OWN THE LEGISLATURE.  Hubbert, AEA UNION boss took terrible offense to B. Byrne exposing the dimokrap payola scheme, so he dictated that all teachers had to work to defeat Byrne and elect Bentley, a little known legislator who was friends with Hubbert.  So it was the dimokrap UNION that got our wayward 72 yr old governor elected.  Surely, if Bentley's affair had been of the homosexual variety, he would be the new hero of the DIMOKRAP'S.....
