The NY Daily News reported the the previous police commission says that  the current police commissioner is manipulating the numbers for crime in NY city, to seem better than it is.  The Daily News is calling for an indepent investigation. 

So in response he said:

Well, the problem is the homeless, but no numbers are not being manipulated.  He said that the previous commission has written a book, plans to run for mayor, and is trying to make himself look better.  When pressed why would the Daily News report this if it wasn't tre, he fired back that the Daily News is not a reliable source.  And as far as the independent investigation, bring it on.  (famous last words). 

And then there is the Rob Emanuel sitaution in Chicago. 

I'm curious what those who think it is better to let the state and local governments run everything, and make the rules for themselves, think about this.  Why isn't this just two examples of how the state and local governments are no better than the federal government ?

I know I've never said that every state or local government is better than the federal government.  What I do say and it is undeniably true is that if you live somewhere with poor local government you have the option to move to where it is better. Not so with the federal government unless you want to leave the country. And by moving it can only be a few miles to escape incompetence.  There is a reason I live in Cobb county and not in Fulton or Dekalb.  Lower taxes, lower crime, effective law enforcement, good schools, etc. versus the Democrat strongholds that are abysmal.

Also, local government is closer to those they screw over and are much more likely to be held accountable for their malfeasance.......except in major cities where Democrats basically have been given the keys to the kingdom despite decades of terrible results.  So no, if you have a state or local government run by Democrats you get what you vote for.  And if you don't like it move......but as we have seen with California nut jobs, they screw up their state and when they move to escape the insanity they vote for more of the same where they land. Sometimes you just can't fix stupid.

I love reading your posts! Totally agree with your opinions on the Dems. It always amazes me the number of low information voters out there. They'll summon enormous enthusiasm to go vote, usually at the behest of a liberal professor, but have nary an idea of ANY issue. Just watch any "man on the street" segment or "Water's World" on FNC. Keep up the good posting!

I would put  DJ Trump at the head of the the class when it comes to attracting voters with a low level of information. His supporrters like him  cause he insults everyone who doesn't agree with him. They find this cool. As to issues, he says trust me for I am greart and will make America great again. No substance and this appeals to those who support him who don't want to hear the details. No different than those voters you like to watch on TV being interviewed who can't even name who is Preidient. They exist in both parties and to suggest otherwise is dishonest. When all you watch is FOX, all you will see are Democracts who can't answer the questions as they will not use any interview from a dumb conservative.
