NAACP set to denounce tea party for racism

The NAACP is expected to approve a resolution at its annual convention condemning the “tea party” movement for harboring “racist elements that are a threat to our democracy,” a spokeswoman for the civil rights organization said Monday.

Is racism Whites against Blacks only? What about:

Comments made by the Black Panther Rep to kill whites and their babies?
Voter intimidation against whites in Philadelphia by Black Panthers?
Rioting in Oakland after the verdict against the white policeman for manslaughter rather than murder?
Jessee Jackson's comments that the owner of the Cleveland NBL team is a white slave owner and Lebron is a runaway slave?
Korean Store Owners in NY City being attacked by Blacks?
Obama's Rev. Wright's comments against whites?

The NAACP, SCLC, and others are now political groups with an agenda that really has minimum involvement with Civil Rights. Racist - that dog will no longer hunt! It's time to do as the Jews have done after WWII. Get on with their lives. Slavery in this country ended after the War Between the States.

The SCLC has been in court for the past several months arguing who has control of the Group and accusations about expenditures by the Leadership. The NAAC is also plagued by leadership issues.

The Black Community needs to accept responsibility for their status today and get on with their lives. Whites are not responsible for:

The high illegitimate birth rate among Blacks
The high percentage of Blacks in prison.
The number of single parent families
Dependency on Welfare

Actually, liberals in general and the NAACP, Rainbow Coalition, etc., and Democrats are responsible for number 4. . Welfare is a lifestyle perpetuated by 1. through 3. above, and by failure of its participants to cooperate with and participate in education opportunities. The helping hand pushes them back into the ditch, rather than pulls them out.

The leaders and organizers of purported “civil rights” organization are aggrandizing themselves by keeping their constituents feeling oppressed and on entitlements. They are enabling destitution while strutting around selling snake oil.

for the national association of liberal colored people. The NAACP long ago gave up their status of protector of the interests of black Americans and became a lap dog for the Dem party. Much like AARP and the AMA. Lots of groups on the right that have the same issue.

I think while one can ligitimately characterize Jesse Jackson and his chronies, and the leadership of the NAACP as not worthy of being taken seriously, I think it would be a mistake to put all Blacks or Hispanics in that category. I don't think it is fair to take an entire race, and lump them together as being inherently bad or screwed up or anything else. Each person is an individual, and deserves consdieration on their own merits.
