We did. It's pretty easy to get it adjusted if you have the documentation. Some of my neighbors are getting by really cheap! Kinda gripes.

i did, with a fully documented appraisal, that reflected they had my property overvalued $150,000; denied my appeal with no given reasoning [Elmore Co]; guess they need the revenue

I did too in Elmore and they didn't come off a penny even when confronted with clear comps. I think they will have to start attracting some lawsuits before doing anything. I had this problem in Atlanta with counties over commercial properties I managed. It became standard procedure for the county to deny all appeals and make you file a suit before they would concede anything to you. Think of all the folks that are intimidated with filing that drop the appeal.

I did not appeal. Same for the last 4 years. BUT, as valued, my property taxes at LM are DOUBLE the taxes in North Shelby County with similar valuation. Unlike Tallapoosa and Elmore, there is no viable taxable population other than the Lake, so, for now, I'll just pay it, and write it off as Worth It to be there.
