Children have been on tubes for about a month now. I have seen them in even when its bad weather. Adults however have only started to swim. I was in 2 weeks ago and it was chilly but not unbearable. Remember, all men are created equal under cold water. :)

I had to get in the water 2 weekends ago for dock maintenance. It was a little breath taking at first but after about 1 minute, I didn't want to get out. Felt nice!
I know my thermometer last weekend showed the water temp at just above 75 degrees. Looking forward to another dip tomorrow in the nearly 90 degree heat!

Spent a lot of time floating two weekends ago. There were currents of really cold water and warmer but it was bearable. Probably more so this weekend. Wish I was going to be there but no joy.

My grandchildren have been swimming for a couple of weeks. They come out of the water and feel like ice cubes...but they are having fun. Myself....it will be late June before I get in the water, but once I get in, I'm there until it gets cold again....or the lake drops, whichever comes first.
As you know, kids will get in the water and say it is not cold, but you can look at their little adorable faces having fun and see their blue lips and know it is time to get them out.
Don't you just love the lake? I've been loving it for over 30 years and hope to love it another 30.

Not only are their lips blue, but their teeth are chattering. However, if you ask them if they are cold, you will get an immediate "no" as a reply.

Went in 2 weeks ago. I went in shortly after her but not by my will. She forgot how to swim. The water was VERY cold, fully clothed 2 weeks ago. I must've had an instinct that I would be going in because I had just taken my cell phone out of my pocket.
She's remembered how to swim since then, I think she just panicked.

Went in today for the first time this year. I usually go in earliier but one thing and another has kept us off the Lake so far this year. Quite cool but not unpleasant, and after a few minutes I was comfortable. I used the all-at-once-method and there was no screaming! I spent about a half hour in the water and had to get out to make lunch, otherwise I'd have stayed longer.
